Committee Meeting Minutes
Annual Planning Meeting
Tuesday, August 1,2006

 

 

 

CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order- 7:14.

 

In Attendance:  Joi Honer, Mike Brown, Leanne Granus, Shaun Shillady, Janice Lamm, Ellen Phillips

 

NEW BUSINESS
Pool Part at Bethany Children’s Home is on August 12th from 6-8pm.
The menus will be simply hotdogs, snacks, & gallon jug drinks.

 

Trails End Popcorn Kickoff is on Wed. Aug. 16th at 6pm at First Energy
Stadium.  Ellen Phillips & Dwight Harding will attend & chair this
fundraiser.  August 16th starts the 1st popcorn sale and ends on Monday
Oct. 24th.  Ellen &/or Dwight will distribute packets to Den Leaders
ASAP.  The pack goal this year will be $3000.  Orders and money will be due at the Oct. 16th Pack meeting.

 

Fall Program Kickoff and School night training for adult leaders is on Tues. Sept. 5th at 6pm at Cacoosing Park.  Joi Honer will plan to attend.

 

Scout School Night is tentatively on Monday, Sept. 25th at CW East at 7pm.  A slideshow will be shown.  It was suggested that Webelos I &II
perform a skit and to have some older scouts participate.

 

Scouting for Food will be on Sat. Nov.11th.  Mike Brown would like to see the Webelos I & II help sort the food.

 

The next pack meeting will be on Monday Sept. 18th at 6:30 at CW East.
A new meeting location was mentioned but decided against.
Each den will responsible for a skit, song or game at each pack meeting.
The focus will be on FUN!  A flag rotation will begin as follows:
Sept.- Den 2
Oct. - Den 3
Nov.- Den 5
Dec.- Den 7
Jan -Den 4  (This den will be assigned to the new Tiger cubs)
Feb- Den 2
March- Den 3
The following dates are the Pack Meetings at CW East at 6:30pm:

 

Mon. Sept. 18th
Mon Oct. 16th
Mon. Nov. 20th
Mon. Dec. 18th- Holiday Party.  Menu will be pizza & cookies.
Mon. Jan. 22nd
Sun. Feb. 18th (Pinewood Derby-TENTATIVE)
        March  Blue & Gold- Gloria Troup & Leanne Granus will chair 

 

The following dates are the Committee meetings at Trinity Lutheran
Church , Wernersville at 7pm:

Mon. Mar 5th

 

Mike Brown is looking into and overnight camping trip for Oct 21st. Tigers
could attend during the day since they are not allowed to sleep overnight

 

Duncans Corn Maze will be tentatively planned for  Nov. 4th.  Lisa will
call Duncans to see if our pack could get this night to ourselves.

 

Shaun Shillday will chair the Joe Corbi Pizza Fundraiser which gets handed out at the Dec. Pack meeting and due at the Jan 22nd Pack Meeting.  The money is due with the orders.

 

Attached is the schedule of  events for Pack 459.  Schedule is subject to change.
