REVIEW OF LAST MEETING”S MINUTES

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Mr. Shillady presented the treasurer’s report.  Committee approved.

FOLLOW-UP

Committee members presented a follow-up to the past month’s activities.  The Halloween parade, October Quest, Corn Maze and October Pack Meeting were all a success. Thank you to all who were involved in each of those activities.

SCHEDULE REVIEW

Popcorn sales began on November 1st. The Committee is encouraging all Scouts to sell as much as possible to help defray some of the costs for Summer Camp. Orders and money will be collected at the November 21st Pack meeting.

As discussed at last Committee meeting, the Bears Den (Den 5) has become too large. Mrs. Miller has done a wonderful job of recruiting other parents to help share in the leadership of this den. They have decided to divide the den into 3 groups. They will become Den 5, 6 & 7.  Leaders and Assistants will include: Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Brownmiller and Mrs. Sackett. It was discussed that the Pack may get Kathleen from Council to come to one of our Pack meetings to provide training for all those members. This would make the process a much easier one.

The Committee has decided to inquire about securing the Middle School for our Blue & Gold Banquet on March 26th.  Mrs. Granus also has acquired Boscov’s catering for the event.  Den 4 will be making repairs to the Bridge and the Arrow for the “Moving-On” Ceremony.

NEW BUSINESS

It was approved by the Committee to hand out Joe Corbi Pizza Fundraiser at the December 19th Pack Meeting. This is another fundraiser to help defray the cost of Summer Camp and re-chartering for the Scouts.

The December 19th Pack meeting was discussed and the Committee is starting to make arrangements for this Party. Santa will attend. Mrs. Brownmiller is signed up to be in charge of this event.

Ms. Honer brought up the possibility of Scouts attending Jambo Camp this May in Kutztown. The Committee has decided to keep this event in mind and discuss it again as we get closer to the date.

Mr. Shillady brought up the discussion of the Klondike Derby which will be held on January 14, 2006. This event is held at Hawk Mountain. This is an event that runs from 9:00-3:00 and many other Packs make this an overnight stay. Mr. Shillady stated that it would be a good opportunity for Webelos I & II to observe this event and offer assistance and he was going to call Hawk Mountain and try to reserve room to stay overnight. He will let the Committee know what happens.

Super Cub weekend has been moved to a weekend in July. According to Ms. Homer’s volunteer list, Mr. Ramsey will be coordinating this Event. More information will follow at upcoming committee meetings.

Mr. Boyer discussed the Pine Wood Derby Event which will be held on Feb 26th. He has volunteered to run this event. He will contact Conrad Weiser East Elementary to secure our location for the Derby. A suggestion was made by Mr. Troup to call local car dealers for donations to this Event. The Committee approved this idea.

Mr. Troup said that all Den leaders need to have a list of the Advancements that will be needed for the Dec. Pack meeting by Nov. 21st (the Nov. Pack meeting) to Mrs. Troup. Mrs. Troup would also like to collect any old Handbooks that Scouts might have. She will then make these available to Scouts who might still need them.

Ms. Honer proposed starting an Adult Leader Phone Tree. This would help to alleviate one person having to contact everyone. She also recommended that each Den have a phone list. The Committee approved this idea.

The Committee voted to reimburse Mrs. Granus $79.00 for the Scout Software that she has purchased. This will allow the Pack to provide the Software to all leaders who wish to use it.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:28
