Committee  Meeting Minutes

 

 

CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order-7:00. In Attendance: Joi Honer, Mike Brown, Leanne Granus, Joyce Miller, Shaun Shillady,  Gretchen Patti, Dwight Harding, Gloria Troup, and Colleen Shillady

 

REVIEW OF LAST MEETING”S MINUTES

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT

Mr. Shillady presented the treasurer’s report.  Committee approved a $43.00 fee for Mr. Shillady to help defray the cost of his Wood Badge training.

 

FOLLOW-UP

Ms. Honer will email Pack to remind everyone of the September 19^th Pack meeting at 6:30 at Conrad Weiser East.

 

Scout night will be on September 21^st at East at 6:30. A special thank you was given to Kate Huber for making a flyer for the schools to remind them of Scout Night. Mr. Brown discussed in detail how the program will run that evening and suggested that it would be nice have Webelos there to help and to get new members excited to join.

 

Reminder - the Philadelphia Zoo trip will be on Saturday, September 24^th. Scouts are asked to wear their t-shirts and Scouts must provide their own transportation. Times and money will be discussed in more detail at the Pack meeting on Sept. 19^th.

 

Scouting for Food was held on Saturday, September 10^th and was a big success.

 

SCHEDULE REVIEW

 

Saturday, October 8^th is October Quest from 8AM- 1PM. Mr. Brown will be working on a badge with Scouts and Mr. Shillady will be on the planning committee for this event.

 

Duncan’s Corn Maze will be on Friday, October 21^st. Ms. Honer will put out a flyer with details of this event at Pack meeting.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

Pastor Diefenderfer has set Scout Sunday to be held on Sunday, February 12^th at Trinity Lutheran Church. Please mark your calendars.

 

Pastor Diefenderfer also told us that the Strawberry Festival will be held on Saturday, June 10^th of next year.

 

Finally, Pastor Diefenderfer invited the Scouts to attend a pre-Halloween Parade party to be held at the Church. The party will begin at the Church at 5:45 the evening of Thursday, October 27^th. The Scouts will then proceed to Worley’s Lumber at 6:45 to prepare for the Parade. All Scouts are welcome!! Mr. Shillady will be in charge of parade so please let him know if you can make it that evening.

 

Mrs. Troup suggested that the Pack attend a Flag Day Ceremony at the Heritage Center on Wednesday, June 14^th. The committee approved this activity and more information will follow.

 

 

Committee members ended meeting with discussion on certain issues involving money owed to Pack.  Mr. Brown will take care of these issues as soon as possible.
