Minutes for October 18, 2004, Committee Meeting

Minutes of the
September 23, 2004 Committee Meeting were reviewed and approved
by consensus after Tracy Thompson was added to the those present list.
Treasurer's Report: None submitted
Recent Events:
15 new scouts signed
up on Scout Night, held at
Planning
Updates:
Scouting for Food- Den Leaders were asked to remind scouts to collect food in full uniform.
Scouting for food information may be found on our web site. Food is to be
delivered to Shur Fine parking lot, 9:30am to 1:00pm,
November 13, 2004. Julie Borelli will coordinate this project. Gretchen Patti
is the back up person.
Popcorn
Chris Rumpf
reviewed the dates for popcorn sale.
November 8th - materials to be handed out.
November 12th -
November 30th -
December 1st - Orders submitted to Council Office December
10th - Popcorn pickup and distribution to Cubs.
It was decided to let Cub Den
leaders to determine whether to collect money up front or collect on delivery.
Money is due December 29th, 2004.
Pack Trip Investigations:
Dennis Swartz
presented information on tree planting projects. Pastor Diefenderfer commented:
The Church was
pleased with Strawberry Festival parking lot clean up.
The Scouts may be able to help in future church project; Triangle renovation.
He will advertise to parishioners that Scouts will be willing to do service
project. He requested that Scout Sunday be on January 30, 2005 to avoid other
church events (this request was agreed upon).
Information was distributed about Berks
County Armed Forces Day Parade on Saturday morning, May 21, 2005 invitation to
participate; Circus in Reading October 29 through October 31, 2004. Pre formed
groups of 15 or more can order via phone (1-800-604-6210 Mary Adiffred); Blue Marsh Tubing and Ski Resort.
New Business:
It was decided
that Den leader meetings with Cub Master, Shaun will take place immediately
following Pac Committee meetings, as apposed to just handing out a Cub Master's
report.
New Business:
Chair person,
Chris Rumpf announced his resignation due to his increased professional work
load, as well as his obligations to the Conrad Weiser Area School District
Board of Directors. Regret was expressed by committee members. Shaun Shillady
contacted people directly to find a replacement.
The next Committee Meeting will be November 15, 2004, 7:00pm,
Committee meeting adjourned at 8:08pm.
