COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA

for Wednesday, February 10, 1999

Fremont School - 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M

Attendance: G. Dias, K. Goodwin, M. Horvath, B. Jackson,
D. Scheel.

1. Topic: New Treasurer and Checking Account

The committee A) approved Colleen Dias as the new pack treasurer
(effective immediately), and B) adopted the Guaranty Federal Bank
Resolution authorizing the establishment of a new checking account.
Greg and Ken Anderson will coordinate the closure and transfer of
funds from our existing account

2. Topic: 1999 Candy Sales

Greg will call Regina to coordinate the following: Product pick up is
scheduled for February 19; Regina will contact den leaders to
coordinate candy pick up. Money is due at the March 25 pack
meeting; the pack needs to turn in money at the April roundtable meeting.
Leaders should emphasize the incentive of Scout Bucks for camp.

3. Topic: Recharter Update

Excluding late turn-ins, the pack rechartered 55 boys (20 with Boy's Life),
and 17 adult leaders for a fee of $740. Income to the pack was $927.

4. Topic: Snow Trip

Bill will have a proposed date by the Blue & Gold dinner on Feb. 18.

A. Topic: Agenda and Time Allocation

The committee concurred with the following schedule:

2:00 PM Begin set up
6:00 PM Begin arriving for dinner, table selection, etc.
6:30 PM Mike will be master of ceremonies
Welcome, Colors (one boy in full uniform from each den to be selected
by den leader), Invocation (Mike will contact Mark Pardini & son or
Peter Richardson), Recognize Eagles (ask to stand up), Years in Scouting
recognition?, Introductions/ Acknowledgements for Elks Lodge, Council
Representatives (Hermonn, Mae?), Principals (Mrs. Crabtree, Mr. Fraiser,
other?)

B. Topic: Expected Attendance, Donations, Set Up/Clean Up

Brenda has received 255 RSVPs; target 300. Donations of supplies
include sodas (adults distribute), cupcakes, paper goods, utensiles.
Contact Brenda for sign-ups schedule for set up and clean up.


C. Topic: Awards

Scout awards will be coordinated/distributed through Mike.

Official BSA recognition for leadership is available for qualified leaders
that have served in a leader or assistant leader role for a minimum of
two years. The scout office will not search their records for the training
each leader has obtained. Follow pack submittal of qualifying leaders for
awards, the scout office will verify eligibility.

The following leaders are eligible for official scout awards: Brenda
(Web II), Dave Hosmer (Web II and Assistant Web. I ),
Debbie Pearson (Web I), Debbie Viera (Assist. Web I- 2 year),
Robin Pearson, Mike Horvath (Tiger, Bear, Wolf, Web. I) Cubmaster &
Assistant cubmaster), Scott Johnson (2 yrs as assistant).

Other leaders will receive a certificate of appreciation for their efforts,
Including Liz (past committee chair), Robin? (past cubmaster) and
Ken Anderson (past Treasurer). Leaders that are leaving. Greg and
Mike will finalize leader awards and presentation process.

D. Topic: Cake Auction

Mike will call Sandy; request her to call den leaders to encourage
boys/parents to participate. Emphasize that its "Fellers" as opposed
to "dads".



Announcement - 1999 Camporall - April 30 & May 1 for Webelos Cub
