We will start in downtown
Mill Valley and hike on Matt Davis Trail to West Point Inn where we will ascend
towards West Peak and then head down to Bon Tempe and Lake Lagunitas for our
mid-day lunch. We’ll then ascend the lovely Collier Trail and head back to Mill
Valley by way of Miller and Tender Foot trails. This 15 mile strenuous hike is
for experienced and strong hikers. Meet at Old Mill Elementary School at 9:15
a.m.; hike starts at 9:30 a.m.
Directions: Take Hwy 101 and
exit at East Blithedale. Go west on East Blithedale towards downtown Mill
Valley. Turn left on Throckmorton and drive a few blocks to the Old Mill
Elementary School, which will be on your right.

We’ll start in Mill Valley,
taking the Dipsea out to the new Coastal Trail. We’ll then head out to
beautiful Muir Beach Overlook for lunch. We’ll head back up Diaz Ridge,
descend back down into Muir Woods, and return again to the Dipsea.
Approximately 10-15 mi with a fair amount of climbing; strenuous for
experienced hikers. We’ll meet at Old Mill Park in Mill Valley at 9 and leave
at 9:15.
Directions: from 101, take
Mill Valley/ E. Blithedale/Tiburon exit. Make a right onto E. Blithedale,
following this to downtown Mill Valley. Make a left on Throckmorton, following
this around to it’s intersection with Cascade where Old Mill Park is

Well, at least the Hogback
is where we start, continuing on the Throckmorton to the top and over to the
other side and winding back over to the sunny side and . . . This will be
a strenuous hike at a fast pace for experienced hikers, 13-15 mi. Meet at
9:00 am at Mountain Home. Hike will leave at 9:15.
Directions: Take the Stinson
Beach/Hwy 1 exit from 101. After 1 mile, turn left at stoplight (staying on Hwy
1). After 2.5 miles, turn right onto Panoramic Hwy. At 4-corners,
continue straight (only uphill choice at intersection) on Panoramic.

Hike up in to the
hills then down to the beach on this 10 mile hike. This is a beautiful hike with beach, lush forests and open
hills. Meet at 9:45 in front of the Bear Valley Visitor's Center:

Directions: Take 101
north to Sir Frances Drake and follow Sir Frances Drake out to Olema. At
Olema, turn right and go 1/8 mile for a left on to Bear Valley Road. Turn in at Bear Valley Visitor's
Center.

We will explore the
southside trails on this 10-mile pretty, moderate paced hike. We
will start at Mountain Home Inn and head over to Mountain Theater on Matt Davis
Trail and trek down to Pantoll for lunch. We'll then trek towards
Tourist Club by way of Staplevedlt and Ben Johnson trails before heading
back to Mountain Home Inn. Meet at Mountain Home Inn at 9:15; hike starts
at 9:30 a.m.
Directions: Take Hwy 101 and
exit at Stinson Beach exit. Take Panoramic Highway and follow it until
you see Mountain Home Inn on your right. Park in the lot across the
street.

This hike will leave from
Deer Park and take the Buckeye and Yolanda Trails to Pheonix lake. From
Pheonix lake we will take the Tucker trail to Eldridge Grade and then take the
fire trail all the way up to East Peak for lunch. This route is very
steep and not for beginners. After lunch we will take Lakeview to
International and make our way to the Lagoon trail and Back to Lagunitas Picnic
Area. At this point we will return to Deer Park via Fish Gulch trail.
Mileage is 15-17 miles at a good brisk pace.
For those not familiar with
Deer Park, we will meet at the Fairfax Parcade at 9:15 and leave no later than
9:25 in our cars to arrive at Deer Park at 9:30. We will depart from Deer
Park no later than 9:45.

We’ll
start in Mill Valley, making an east face ascent to East Peak via the Wheeler
and Indian Fire Trails. We’ll then enjoy selected trails on the south
side of Tam before returning to Mill Valley. This will be a strenuous
hike at a fast pace, 10-15 mi. Meet at 9am at Old Mill Park in Mill
Valley. Hike leaves at 9:15.
From
101 N, take E. Blithedale/Tiburon exit to Mill Valley. Make a right at the exit
and follow E. Blithedale around until intersection with Camino Alto Road. Keep
going straight on E. Blithedale until you hit downtown Mill Valley.
Veer left into the downtown area until you reach Throckmorton. Take Throckmorton
until the intersection with Cascade where Old Mill Park is. Email [email protected]

From
Mt. Home we'll go down to Muir Woods to climb back toward Rock Spring and spend
some time on the secondary trails in the Simmons Triangle. We'll keep on
the trails of the north side of Mt. Tam most likely going to West Peak. This 15
miles (more or less) is for experienced and strong hikers as we'll keep a
brisk pace throughout the hike. Meet at Mt. Home at 9:00, hike leaves at 9:15.

This
hike is approximately 10 miles and moderately strenuous with rolling hills
along Helen Markt and a steep hike up the stairs of the Cataract Trail. We will start in the Rock Springs
parking lot and make our way to the High Marsh Trail, then the Kent Trail which
we will take to Helen Markt which runs along Alpine Lake and then up the
Cataract Trail. Bring plenty of
water, lunch, layered clothing, a hat and sunscreen. Meet at Rock Springs
Parking Lot above Pantoll Ranger Station. Hike meets at 9:45 a.m., leaves at
10:00 a.m.

101 take the Tiburon Blvd/E Blithedale Exit and travel west on East Blithedale
into downtown

Hike
will leave from the Mitchel Canyon Ranger Station. We will ascend Back
Creek Trail to Muchio Gap. Then we will ascend Bald Ridge Trail to
Prospectors Gap. FInally we will ascend North Peak Trail to the Summit
for lunch. The descent will follow the Juniper Trail to Deer Flat Road
to Mitchell Canyon Road and back to the parking lot. This
route is approximately 15 miles with a descent of 4000 ft. Although it is
the easiest way to get up the mountain, we will probably be mocing at a good
pace and the hike will most certainly not be suitable for beginners

to Mitchell Creek: Take Rt. 24 E. As you merge onto Rt 680 N
get off at Ygnacio Valley Road. Take Ygnacio Valley seven mile to where
it intersects with Clayton Rd. Make a right on Clayton Rd. another right
on Mitchell Canyon Rd which you take to the end.
Don't
forget to bring 3 dollars for parking. Hike meets at 9:30 and departs at
9:45.
