Tonight was the "Sitz-probe" -- when we get to sing along with the full orchestra for the first time! It truly was absolutely amazing!!! Everybody sounded great which prompted Billy to quip to the orchestra "you are all inspiring them [the cast] to greatness!"
Again, this was definitely one of those experiences that one must simply go through in order to fully appreciate the situation. To hear all those beautiful orchestrations and melodies was simply breath-taking. When we ended the show with "Next' the whole cast couldn't help but cheer and yell the orchestra's praises. Rebecca, of course, cautioned us right away about taking care of our voices!

We have an audience in exactly one week....!
Well, it just gets better and better (does it go uphill from here? Or is it downhill? Hmmm...neither seems right. I guess I should ask Dave since he is a proofreader by trade)
Tonight was our first night at the theatre (Mountain View Center of Performing arts). After the obligatory safety rules and warnings, we were allowed to walk onstage and check out the fabulous set up-close. We then started running through the show for purposes of spacing as well as working out some of the scene/set changes.
Very neat!
Tonight was a late night, though, going up to 11:30 pm.
Sure was worth it, though!!!
