The Guardians were flown to the region by plane, then taken by a helicopter to the secured site. The pilot dropped them off then flew back. The Guardians, armed with map, went on a wide circle around the presumed landing point of the aliens. They were interupted by an exceedingly clumsy ambush by two human hikers. White Leopard disposed of them quickly, within 15 seconds. Crocodile started to study them, but all were interupted by a strange doglike creature that bounded up to them, then halted. All but Crocodile investigated, finding a colorful creature hiding nearby.
The creature, called Magnet Master, was one of the original team sent to investigate. Initial distrust was widespread, but information was exchanged. Shadow Knight sent his darkness to check out the region where the ART had left their vehicle and spotted a craft of some sort. Other Guardians followed as SK walked toward the craft. The spaceship discovered appeared to be the vehicle of the pursued alien. Shadow Knight was able to determine to entry point, but was unable to enter. Magnet Master forced entry and they started to explore.
