Hidufel was a new member of the Knights. Though he wears armour and carries a quarterstaff, nothing else was known about the enigmatic character.
Later, Hidufel revealed that he was really a fallen angel. Now calling himself 'Redeemer', he told the Knights that he was out to save the world, starting with himself. Redeemer hoped to save his soul through good deeds.
Unfortunately, Redeemer's first mission was a disaster. He killed two security guards by accident. Redeemer learned to late that he was just to powerful to peacefully restrain the guard. The second guard ran, and was killed when Redeemer sought to stop his flight. Redeemer, now calling himself "Penance", turned himself into authorities. After the Knights proved the guards worked for the Russian mafia, and Penance had reasonable cause to suspect they were a threat, Penance was able to plea bargain, reducing his debt to society. Now on probation, Penance seeks to use his power responsibly.
