| ����������� Here is a brief history of the Ska band, Madness. |

| Act I, |
| �Scene 1 - The beginning. |
| ����������� As early as 1976, Barson (keyboards), decides to get a band together. Thommo (sax) and Chrissy Boy (guitar) are first to join, followed by Suggs (vocal), Bedders (guitar), Woody (drums) and last of all Chas Smash (vocals, trumpet). |
| ��������� Gigs around North London were followed by the recording of their first single, The Prince, in 1979, and One Step Beyond later that year. |
| Scene 2- 1980- 1983 |
| ��������� Singles, Albums and T.V appearances started to happen. 1980 saw the release of singles, My Girl, Night Boat to Cairo, Baggy Trousers, Embarrassment and their album, Absolutely. |
| ��������� 1981 was a big year, with the filming and release of the feature film, Take it or Leave It. Singles released were Los Palmas 7, Grey Day and Shut Up. The album released in 1981 was 7. |
| ��������� 1982 saw the release of yet another album, Complete Madness. Singles climbing the chart that year were It Must Be Love, Cardiac Arrest, House of fun, Driving in my Car and the number one single, House Of Fun!! Appearance on the British Comedy, The Young Ones, singing House Of Fun, was another bonus of 1982. |
| ��������� 1983 was the year that Tomorrows just Another Day, Wings Of a Dove and Sun and the Rain were released as singles and the album was Keep Moving!! |
| Scene 3- From 7 to 6 |
| ��������� In 1984, they released the singles Michael Caine and One Better Day. They appeared on the Young Ones again singing Our House in the street. |
| ��������� 1984 also saw the departure of group founder, Barson. Madness minus one carried on and released the album Mad Not Mad!!! |
| Act II - |
| Scene 1 - Six march on!!! |
| ����������� In 1985, they released Yesterday's Men, Uncle Sam. 1986 saw the last singles being released by Madness for 13 years. Sweetest Girl and Waiting for the Ghost Train. |
| ��������� 1986 also had Madness in the Night Boat up the Thames concert. |
| Scene 2 -The Madness |
| ����������� In 1988, The Madness released an album by the same name. This included the Madness members, Suggs, Chas Smash, Thommo and Chrissy Boy and additional musicians!!! |
| ��������� They released the catchy tune, I Pronounce You!! |
