GAME SUMMARIES FOR APRIL
VIKINGS FALL TO AAA TROUP TIGERS
Despite outhitting the Tigers 8-6, Pacelli fell to AAA Troup County 6-2.  Jack Warner took the loss, but only allowed 4 hits.  The Viking offense had chances in the bases loaded in the second and two on in the third inning, but couldn't produce a hit.  Jackie Ginter lead the offense with 2 hits (double and RBI), while Cain Fuller, Chad Booth, Troy Batton, David Miller (RBI), Garrett Lawrence, and Tyler Booth each collected one hit.

VIKINGS IMPROVE TO 9-2
Tyler Booth and David Miller combined for 10 strikeouts, 5 each, in a 15-0 four inning win over Stewart-Quitman.  The offense pounded out 10 hits, lead by Matt Dunham (2 hits, 2 RBI) and Robert Wright (2 hits, 2 RBI).  Others collecting hits for the Vikings were:  Chad Booth, Joey Keyser (2B, RBI), Troy Batton (3 RBI), David Miller (2B, RBI), Tyler Booth (2 RBI), and John Simmons (2B, RBI).  The Vikings, ranked #3 in the state, move their record to 4-0 in the region and 9-2 overall.

VIKINGS FALL TO SCHLEY COUNTY
Pacelli lost to Schley County 7-0 to fall to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the region.  Jackie Ginte (1-1) took the loss while striking out 6 in 6 innings.  The offense collected 6 hits, but was never able to string any hits together.  Matt Dunham lead the offense with 2 hits, while Jackie Ginter, Garrett Lawrence (2B), Chad Booth (2B), and John Simmons all added a hit apiece.

PITCHING, OFFENSE LEAD TO DH SWEEP OF RANDOLPH-CLAY
The Vikings swept a DH with Randoph-Clay to improve to 11-3 overall and 6-1 in the region.  Both games were shortened to 5 innings by the mercy rule, as game one was 12-0 and game two was 14-1.

In game one, Jack Warner (3-1) struck out 12 and allowed only one hit.  The offense pounded out 11 hits, lead by:  David Miller (3 hits including a 2B, RBI), Jackie Ginter (2 hits, 4 RBI), Troy Batton (2 2B, 4 RBI), and Joey Keyser (2 hits, RBI).  Others collecting hits in game one were:  Mote Andrews (1 hit) and Robert Wright (1 hit, RBI).

In game two, David Miller (3-0) allowed 3 hits while striking out 13.  The offense erupted for 17 hits as four Vikings collected 3 hits:  Matt Dunham (2 2B, RBI), Chad Booth (2 RBI), Garrett Lawrence (2B, RBI), Joey Keyser (RBI).  Tyler Booth collected 2 hits, while Mote Andrews (2 RBI), Sammy Oates (RBI), and John Yasenchok-Reichelt all collected 1 hit.

VIKINGS FALL TO RIVAL BROOKSTONE
John Simmons collected two of the six Viking hits, but it wasn't enough to lead the Vikings over cross-town rival Brookstone.  Troy Batton (4-2) struck out four batters in the 5-2 loss.  Other Vikings collecting hits were:  Matt Dunham (HR), Chad Booth, Garrett Lawrence, and Cain Fuller (2B).  The Vikings, ranked #4 in the state, fall to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in the region.

VIKINGS DROP TWO IN A ROW
Brookstone scored 3 unearned runs in the first inning, and the Vikings could not muster any offense as the Cougars defeated the Vikings 16-1 in 4 innings.  David Miller took the loss, while Jackie Ginter collected the only hit for the Vikings.  The Vikings are now 11-5 and 6-3 in the region.

PACELLI MERCY RULES TAYLOR COUNTY
The Vikings defeated Taylor County 11-1 in 5 innings to improve to 12-5 and 7-3 in the region.  Troy Batton (5-2) pitched 4 innings of no-hit baseball, striking out 7, before giving way to Jack Warner.  The offense responded with 14 hits, including 3 homeruns.  John Simmons (HR, 2 RBI), Chad Booth (RBI), and Garrett Lawrence (2B, HR, 3 RBI) lead the offense with 2 hits apiece.  Others collecting hits were:  Matt Dunham, Jackie Ginter, John Yasenchok-Reichelt, David Miller (2B, RBI), Troy Batton (2B, 2 RBI), Joey Keyser (HR, 2 RBI), Sammy Oates (2B), and Tyler Booth.

RALLY FALLS SHORT
Pacelli rallied for 5 runs in the top of the seventh inning with 2 outs, but came up short to Schley County 7-6.  Jackie Ginter allowed 3 hits over 5 innings, but David Miller (3-2) took the loss in relief.  Garrett Lawrence lead the offense with 2 hits (2 RBI), while Jackie Ginter (2 RBI), Joey Keyser (2B), Chad Booth (2B, RBI), and John Simmons each collected one hit.  The Vikings are now 12-6, 7-4 in the region.
