Negotiations have broken down. We still have the open issues of mandatory standby/callout for mechanical and the corporate drug policy outstanding. There also seems to be a great deal of dissatisfaction over the 5/4 shift issue across operations.

We had been told on 7-10-02 that we would receive a "Final Offer" package today 7-11-02. After waiting all day we were informed it would likely be received until tomorrow morning.

Current plans are to review the package with the International rep. tomorrow morning, then meet with the company at 11 am for them to answer any questions. Once the package has been reviewed by the rep. the decision will be made whether to schedule informational meetings followed by a vote, or to call a strike.
