Pub 199 repeats again!

For the seventh time in ten years, Pub 199 won the Morris Area Women's
Softball League title.  They did it by beating At The Hop 6-1 and 7-4 to sweep
the championship finals.  In the semifinals, Pub 199 beat Pro Physical Therapy
9-0.  In the process, Pub 199 defeated the two teams that tied for the league's
best record.

In the other semifinal, At The Hop won a nailbiter 5-4 against Mount Olive 
Bar & Grill to advance to the finals for the fourth year in a row.

In the first game of the finals, At The Hop was reduced to a mere sacrifice
fly for their lone run.  Pub 199 generated enough offense along the way to
take game one.

In the second game, Pub scored all seven runs in the first two innings.  Even
though At The Hop came charging back, they couldn't finish off the comeback.
In the end, they got swept in the finals for the second year in a row, despite
having the league's best record and the top seed both times.

Pub 199 won four straight titles from 2000-2003.  They also won in 2005 and
again last year.
