| Rats are now beggininig to be a big problem in our commutiny. Rats have been around for a long time in almost every neighborhood of Chicago. People in Chicago are now wanting to do something about this problem, but the fact is that now it might be too late to do something about it unless they start as soon as possible. |

| 1.Have you ever seen any rats when you are taking out the trash to the alley? Sarah:Yes, I have but there are only a few rats on this community. Ramon:Yes, I have and I wish they were all gone. 2.Do the rats go away or they want to bite you? Sarah:They usually run away when they see people. Ramon:Sometimes they go away and sometimes they want to chase me. 3.Are you afraid of rats? Sarah:No, I am not. Ramon:No, I am not. 4.Have you ever done something to prevent rats from being in your neighborhood? Sarah:I scare them. Ramon:I put traps and venom. 5.Do you scare the rats away or do you just let them go? Sarah:There are just a few of them. Ramon:Yes, try to scare them away. 6.Are there only a little bit of rats or is there a whole bunch of rats? Sarah:There are just a few of them. Ramon:I have only seen like five of them. 7.Do you see rats everytime you take out the trash or only some times? Sarah:Only some times. Ramon:Most of the times I only see them at night. 8.Have you ever tried putting traps or something? Sarah:Yes, I have but it never works. Ramon:Yes, I put traps and venom. 9.Have you ever seen anymore rats in another neighborhood? Sarah:Yes, I have on the 26th. Ramon:Yes, right by 44th and Paulina. 10.Are rats a big problem in your neighborhood? Sarah:Yes, they are a problem. Ramon:Yes because sometimes they get inside your house and eat the food. 11.Do rats get inside your house/property? Sarah:Yes, sometimes they do. Ramon:I have only seen them around like twice. 12.Have you ever been attacked by a rat? Sarah:No, never in my whole life. Ramon:No, and I wish that I never do. 13.Have you ever seen a rat inside a school? Sarah:Yes I have. Some small rats. Ramon:No because I have never been in a school here in Chicago but I saw a small rat inside a school in California. 14.Are rats in Chicago increasing or decreasing? Sarah:I think they are increasing. Ramon:I think that they are increasing because everytime I see more and more. 15.Do you think that if the trash truck passed to pick up the trash would there be less rats in the city? Sarah:Yes, I think it would work. Ramon:Yes, I think that they should pass at least twice a day. |
