Personal information:

My full name is Pablo Andrés Barrientos. I was born on june 29, 1982, in the city of La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Education:

I made my primary studies in the School Nº5, Coronel de Marina Tomás Espora, in the city of La Plata (1 y 38).

My secondary studies were in the Colegio Nacional "Rafael Hernández" of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) and I was graduated with a general calification average of 9.26.

I got a major degree in computer science (Licenciatura en informática) in the Facultad de informática of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) that I started in the year 2000. My califications average was 9.06. My degree thesis was titled "Evaluación de enfoques de implementación de lenguajes de dominio específico" (Evaluation of domain-specific languages implementation approaches), and it was under supervision of Ph.D. Pablo E. Martínez López (Fidel). Because of the average of my califications I received a special mention in the years 2002 and 2003. At the end of 2006 I received the award called "Joaquín V. Gonzalez" because I got my diploma with the 3rd highest average calification.

Academic experiences

Since 2002 and until 2004 included I was teacher collaborator in Functional Programming of the Facultad de Informática of the UNLP, whose Professor is Lic. Gabriel Baum.

Since 2004 I am a teacher collaborator of Advanced Functional Programming of the Facultad de Informática of the UNLP, whose Professor is Lic. Gabriel Baum.

Between 2003 and 2004 I organized along with Ph.D. Eduardo Bonelli some meetings about talking and difussion of several topics, called "lambda-meetings", in which I presented three different talks about:

·   Data structures in the functional paradigm

·   "Weaving a web" (a Ralf Hinze's paper in which there are some ideas about politipic programming).

·   Graph and graph algorithms implementations into the functional lazy language Haskell.

Since June and until August 2005 I was teacher collaborator in Logic in the Facultad de informática of the UNLP, whose Professor is Ph.D. Claudia Pons. And starting from that month to I was collaborating theacher of Logic and elements of artificial inteligence, in the same place and with the same Professor, until December 2005.

Since september 2005 and until March 2006 I was a teacher collaborator in Object-oriented design I in the Facultad de informática of the UNLP, whose Professor is Ph.D Gustavo Rossi.

Since July 2006 and until March 2007 I was teacher assistant in Functional programming in the Facultad de informática of the UNLP. Since then I am the Main teacher assistant of this course.

I was fellow of the Laboratorio de Investigación y Formación en Informática Avanzada (LIFIA) . Mi research subject was domain-specific languages. I worked together with researchers from Unversity of Maribor, Slovenia (Marjan Mernik, Tomaz Kosar y Daijan Rebernak), and I made a travel to that country in the year 2004 thanks to the support of the SECyT (Secretaría de Ciencia, Técnica e innovación productiva de la Nación). With those researchers I made a journal paper titled "A preliminary study on various implementation approaches of Domain-specific languages" that was published in the journal Information and software technology. This journal paper includes special issues about a technical report we made. Besides I prepared a paper about a design pattern for domain-specific languages based in combinators which was accepted in a conference in Spain, but due to monetary problem, all the authors decided don't publish it in that conference and try to present the paper un another international conference. Three papers were accepted for appearing into Dr. Dobbs journal . The papers are: From Application libraries to DSLs: Basis forms of API, From Application libraries to DSLs: preprocessing , and From Application libraries to DSLs: full compilers.

I was Academic Councilor representing the students of the Facultad de informática of the UNLP, during 2004 and 2005. I also was a member of the Advising Commission of Teaching of the Facultad de informática of the UNLP during the year 2004, member of the Advising Commission of University and society of the Facultad de informática of the UNLP during the years 2004 and 2005, and member of the Advising Commission of Investigation and Post-degree of the Facultad de informática of the UNLP during the year 2005.
