how to solve the rubik's cube

1. solve the top level (white)

2. find a missing center-corner, line it up on the bottom front
turn the bottom 1/4 turn away from where it belongs (hole)
drop the hole side down 1/4
return bottom
return side
continue bottom 1/4 more
crank face in that direction
return bottom
return face

3. fill in the rest

4. if you need to switch bottom corners:
drop right side down 1/4 turn
turn the bottom 1/4 turn left
return side
crank face 1/4 turn right
turn bottom left
return face
drop right side down 1/4 turn
turn the bottom 1/4 turn right
return side

4. to straighten out the bottom corners:
drop right side down 1/4 turn
turn the bottom 1/4 turn left
return side
continue bottom 1/4 turn
drop right side down 1/4 turn
turn bottom 1/2 turn
return side
turn bottom 1/2 turn
(repeat until fixed : look at bottom patterns
one single corner blue in the upper left is best)

5. move the bottom center-corners around
this move switches the bottom 3 corner-centers
in a clockwise pattern (or counterclockwise)
drop center slice down 1/4 turn
turn the bottom 1/4 turn right (or left)
return center slice
turn bottom 1/2 turn
drop center slice down 1/4 turn
turn the bottom 1/4 turn right (or left)
return center slice

6. fix up various mixups with:
middle slice up
crank top clockwise 1/4 turn
middle slice up
crank top clockwise 1/4 turn
middle slice up
crank top clockwise 1/2 turn
middle slice down
crank top clockwise 1/4 turn
middle slice down
crank top clockwise 1/4 turn
middle slice down
crank top clockwise 1/2 turn

or 1/2 turns:

right
face
right
left
face
left

or

right
face
right
(turn cube to left 180 degrees)
right
face
right
