| The Case of the Invisible Wolf October 9, 1981 My first case in a month or so. I found out that lately a strange thing has been stealing silverware, plates, cups, chickens, pigs, and cows, but no one has seen anything! So I will start on the case tomorrow. October 10, 1981 I went onto the McChicken's farm. Their daughter, Ms. Millie McChicken, has been kidnapped by that strange thing. I found wolf tracks going to Millie's room and coming back out. I followed the tracks to LPFB headquarters. "Ah," I thought to myself, "It was probably BBW who took all those things." I figured it out: BBW took all the silverware and dinnerware to serve the chickens, pigs, and cows on once they are cooked. But wait! They don't have a stove! That's what will be stolen next. I set my alarm clock for 5 AM. October 11, 1981 I set my stakeout at the oven shop. At 8 AM, I heard the wolf coming toward me. I pulled my gun out slowly and listened carefully to the footsteps. Then the Lion in LPFB jumped me. I heard the window break as I lost consciousness. October 12, 1981 As I woke up, I realized that BBW and LPFB must've figured out a way to be invisible--that's the only way they could've snuck up on me! Once my senses returned completely, I Iooked around to see numerous villains including: Doctor Hoom, Electro Pig, Darth Boaring, a Stormpooper, and Tex Luthor (the snake). I also saw some heroes (who were unfortunately bound and gagged): Captain Apigera, the Pulk, the Flying Fly, Superpig, Hash Snorton, and Buck Boar. I looked further and saw some carving knives, about 10 eating knives, 10 forks, 10 spoons, 10 plates, 10 cups, 10 chairs, and a table. I saw Millie, my cousin Arnold, a few pigs (I didn't know them), and 2 cows--obviously we're meant to serve the 10 baddies! I also saw BBW--he wasn't invisible anymore! (Now I wonder if BBW was ever invisible?) He was putting wood into the fireplace, obviously to ready it for "cooking." All the sudden I noticed that my hand was free. (How do you suppose I was writing?) I automatically burst my bonds and helped the heroes get free. I watched the ensuing fight from a safe distance as the heroes and villains battled at great length. Darth Boaring, LPFB, and BBW got away, but all the other villains were captured...they got what they deserved! A little late, Superpickle and the cops got here and took the baddies away. The end of another Elmer Pig mystery! The Secret Message October 20, 1981 Today I got my first case since "The Case of the Invisible Wolf." Mrs. Pat Ruse called and siad that there was a secret message to be delivered to her daughter by October 26th-- which she emphasized should be no later or earlier! So I took the case, knowing that I would have to guard the message with my life! Knowing that, I went to bed early. October 21, 1981 I woke up and, to my surprise, found myself in LPFB headquarters. I looked up as I realized I was upside down, tied up very tightly, and hanging suspended from the ceiling. I then saw BBW, Lion, Panther, Fox, and Bear about to open the letter with a letter opener/ruler. Then, to my further surprise, Metric Pan burst through the window. "Wait!" Metric Pan screamed, "Use a metric letter opener/ruler!" With that important public service announcement, he flew back out the window. Then the Pulk came in and they all ran away. With the villains gone, the Pulk took me back to my house and took the message with him. Tomorrow I would track him down. October 22, 1981 Today I am going after the Pulk. I have found his tracks and they lead me back to David Boarner. He still had the message, so I took it, then ran back to my house. October 25, 1981 When I woke up, I realized I had been tranquilized by LPFB...I'd been asleep for 3 days! As my mind cleared, I realized that they almost have the message open! Then I noticed Captain Apigera sneaking up behind LPFB and BBW, but my relief and gratitude set in too quickly. I yelled, "Yay!" LPFB and BBW turned and fought, so that they finally brought Captain Apigera down. (You know the Captain, he wears the colors of Apigera: red, white, and blue with stars on his uniform.) As they knocked him down, he managed to grab the message. Just then, the Pulk and Superpickle broke through the wall, causing LPFB and BBW to run away. Captain Apigera came over and untied me, then gave me the message. October 26, 1981 I got the message to Paula Ruse and, to my surprise, it was a birthday card! But I got paid for--though I also almost got killed for--a birthday card! |
