Croc meets the alligators.

Croc has kin visiting

Big cousins, outland cousins

Tough-bastard cousins

Cousins that would bite

Your head off for speaking.

Or croc's.

That lie in wait, breath brood-bated

Hot jaw-muscled,

Tussle strengthened.

Siblingbones roll,

Knuckle, deuce-sucked.

Tongues loll in anticipation.

Croc shoves choicest viands

Safe neath limbpit creases

Tosses head to-fro

Flings bone-shards rattling

Cries poor and starving.

Eyes dart, reckon effect.

Beyond barra, croc.

Beyond croc, cousins.

Beyond cousins, what?

Froth floats, eddy-driven

Pink-laced round bubbles as

River works time's hard scrubbing:

Stones' grind on bones.
