November 12th 2006 Minutes
Company G
48th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment

Date of Meeting: 12 November 2006

Meeting began at 11:30 am, with three members present.

Executive Board Members Chosen as follows:
E-Board President:          Michael McHenry
E-Board Vice President:   Brian McHenry
Secretery:                      Leanne Proctor
Treasurer:                      Elizabeth Ehrhart

The above mentioned officers will be in place until the time that the organization has enough members to hold an official election.

The Mission of Company G is to be family oriented and to accurately portray civilians and soldiers from the Civil War period including imminate death on the battlefield.

Topics discussed at meeting:
           A) Unit Equipment
Company G will keep certain items on hand. These items will be purchased or made by unit members at drills. These items include, but are not limited to: tents, cooking equipment, muskets, colors, some uniform items, and manuals. Unit equipment can be issued to unit members by hand receipt. The individual signing the hand receipt is responsible for the care and upkeep of said equipment until it is returned to the unit.

           B) Personal Equipment
Personal Equipment is the responsibility of the owner. The unit expects the owner to maintain their equipment and keep it as authentic looking as possible. Please refer to manuals or other members when in doubt about equipment.

            C) Other Units
Their will be times when we will fall in with other units (when accepted), or other units may want to fall in with us. We welcome other people to fall in with us and have no problem with our members falling in with other units. We only ask that if you choose to come or go, please conduct yourself as to not bring negative attention to Company G.

              D) Changing Armies
During some reenactments a member may choose to be a Confederate soldier. This is perfectly alright as long as the individual supplies his/her own equipment, and his/her conduct does not bring negative attention to Company G.

Company G
48th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment

Meetings and drills will be held on the second Sunday of each month. The times will be determined by the schedules of unit members. We will try to accommodate members needs as far as make up drills. If a reenactment falls on a meeting/drill date, the meeting will be held at the event.

Remember, Company G is a family oriented organization, lets have some fun and recreate history at the same time! We are a newly formed organization, any help from other units will be appreciated. Please visit our website often to see us grow and prosper!
