| Any Sailor Moon fan knows the true relationship between these two senshi, but I shall remind you and teach the new recruits ^^ Uranus and Neptune have a special connection... they are both carriers of something called a Pure Heart. Uranus carries a beautiful light sword with a sheath covered with gems, and Neptune carries a mirror, one side holding nothing but sea blue back and her senshi symbol, and the other side is a mirror, surrounded by a decoration of flowers and a young girl to the right side, somewhat resembling Princess Serenity of the Moon. With these items, they help to bring out the last senshi warrior of their Solar System: Sailor Saturn. For people that follow the English version of Sailor Moon, you think Haruka(Amara) and Michiru(Michelle) to have a harmless bond as cousins... WRONG! DiC dubbed it so that they would seem to be cousins, but they are nothing of the sort, they are NOT cousins. Michiru and Haruka's true bond, is that they have gone for a true love, pure of everything, with each other. As I have heard many people say, and I believe I heard it on Sailor Moon once as well, "True love knows no bounds," thus meaning, true love has no boundaries and can breach the sanctions known as male/female love, and go even further and deeper into a love such as Michiru and Haruka have: a beautiful and pure yuri love. Some people can tend to find yuri and yaoi disgusting, so even the original version of Sailor Moon does not go into explicit sex and bedroom scenes. There are only small hints occasionally through the two's conversations that lead to understanding that they are lovers. Some of the best examples come from the subbed version of Sailor Stars, though I do not have the quotes available at the moment. Anyways, to understand how these two sailors became lovers, we will have to travel back in time to the era of the Silver Millenium. When the two young senshi met for the first time upon the Moon kingdom, strange feelings began to bubble up within both of them. Neptune being calm, graceful, and courted by so many males, ignored these newfound emotions at first, but the willful and powerful Uranus pursued them. She began to understand them almost immediately and strived to become the only "man" that Neptune would have eyes for. Though not completely aware of the situation, Titania tried to put a stop to this foolish training that the young Haruka was putting herself through. When Titania discovered the true meaning behind why Uranus was acting like this, she acknowledged it by showing her support, since she couldn't truly help in the training because of her royal flaw: she was one of the common fragile royal females. Uranus completed most of her training just before she had to return to the Moon kingdom with Titania to meet the newborn Serenity. When they arrived, Uranus immediately went on a search for Neptune, and when she found her, Neptune realized how wrong she had been before by disregarding her feelings, and they have been beautiful lovers ever since that wonderful day ^^ |
