Review – Oscillate “In Line”

single on Rubber Records through BMG

Get this genre into your music vocabulary – Pop Industripop: a pop mix of industrial and hip-hop styles. And what better way to kick off a new brand of music than with a brand new artist? Out on Melbourne’s Rubber Records through BMG, April sees the release of the “Minor Triggers” debut EP by Jessy Turner & Ivan Khatchoyan, or, collectively, Oscillate, from which the excellent new single In Line is lifted.

This is going to be a JJJ/RRR (2 and 3)/ZZZ favourite for sure – not too heavy, but still with some of the industrial effects to give it meat; not too light, but poppy enough to maybe make the mainstream programmers listen for that extra few seconds; not just-right, with the hip-hop DJ scratching to make it interesting!

Oscillate “In Line” – April 2 will be No Fools’ Day this year: find out for yourself at your local music outlet or online through Rubber Records/BMG.
