Review - Urban Guerillas “Just A Lifetime”

independant album

Urban Guerillas is a name that pops up more often than not and this, their independent “Just A Lifetime” album introduces the rest of us to the 5-6 piece urban folk/rock outfit.

The opening track does so with VSpy VSpy/Shock Poets leanings and didge intro (thanks to Charlie “What Won’t I Do” Macmahon). The rest of the album features more Charlie, some Goanna/VSpy VSpy leanings, a Dylanesque Billy Bragg protest song, and a couple of covers which I’d have thought would not be necessary for a band with this experience.

Overall, a good introductory effort to those of us not privy to the Urban Guerillas before today...
