Vandal are about to launch their fourth album with their horniest
line-up yet!
Being
one of those bugger-all who know about them, save for a short appearance on A Current Affair or something regarding a
music festival in Melbourne which left me none the wiser about the band, I have
nothing to compare them to musically. We do know, however, where they’re coming
from: not quite punk, not quite thrash, not quite ska, not quite serious, but
somehow most of all of them (far from serious, that is).
Even
after five listens in a row, I couldn’t quite get into it; however Hating the Chair stands out for its idea
alone, as does the album name “Bikini
High Pool Massacre 3 - Who Invited the Undead”, for which I’ll be waiting
before I commit myself to an opinion...
