The
Casanovas “Nasty”
single on Rubber Records through BMG
Lauded by the likes of Tim (You Am I) Rogers and described by Melbourne’s Beat Magazine as the best damn rock & roll outfit this country has seen for eons, The Casanovas have much to which to live up on this single Nasty on Rubber Records through BMG.
And turning the original-version on first (to hear the whole 4:33 as opposed to the radio-edited 3:58) I was awe-inspired from the off. I was so impressed I sent my copy off to Rock ‘n’ Roll Smorgasbord for immediate addition! Combining the better aspects of The Poor, Rumblefish and ACDC, these guys rock! And it’s not rawk, as the aforementioned Beat wanker actually wrote: that suggests an element of 80s cock-rock!! No, ladies and gentlemen: this is old-fashioned pub-rock as bands like Angels, the Oils and Chisel, used to do it.
Formed in late 1999, Tom and Patrick Boyce and their mate Jimmy Lewis have hit a nail on its head: a nail for which many bands have been searching and, finally, The Casanovas have discovered. Contact Rubber through BMG and find out more about The Casanovas before big-time success turns them into the likes of that Beat guy! «««««
