Review - “tyg’s in space”

album on Spacejunk through Phantom

Being familiar with David (snog/Black Lung) Thrussel’s work will prepare you in some way for the tyg’s in space album on Spacejunk through Phantom.

A project involving Tim (The Church) Powles and Chris Campbell in the foreground and the likes of Steve (The Church) Kilbey and Elia (Once Upon A Time) Bel behind them, this collection of experimental ambient electronica that borders at times on pop/alternative has it moments. Tracks like Fish, Impossible and Comet combine elements of the aforementioned artists’ work, but take on movement and feel of their own, with artwork to match.

Stand out tracks include Fish, Impossible, Spaceman and the U2esque Suffer. tyg’s in space album on Spacejunk through Phantom will grow on you - slowly «««
