Review – Somersault self-titled demo CD

It seems that many of you will already be familiar with Somersault’s brand of location not-specific brand of edgy alterna-rock. With media support across the south-eastern states there are now more opportunities for the world to get to know Somersault now that there’s a CD available to a punting public.

This four-piece hails from the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide and count this as their third release after a couple of demos (doubtless available at many of the gigs they have done thus far). Their sound hints toward perhaps Ricaine, Heatmiser, Big Heavy Stuff, Oasis and maybe Jebediah. You might even ask where they were during the recent Triple J Unearthed thing that happened in their parts!
