Review – Icecream Hands “When The Show Is Over”

Single on Rubber Records through BMG

So... do you have the Icecream Hands album “Broken UFO” yet? If not, here is another reason why you should actively seek it out and add it to your collection post haste!

When the Show Is Over is more classic (don’t you hate that word!?) Douglas Lee Robertson reeking as is his wont of George Harrisonisms, with the added guitar effect that Tim Rogers (’s producer) used in Damage. One critic suggested that it ‘damn near brings a tear to the eye’ and you’d have to agree that it is a beautiful song.

There’s three more songs added so that even if you do have the album, your collection will be the fuller for having live versions of other songs from the record. Nipple and Rain Hail Shine come with Picture Disc from the Benelux from their last record, all tracks having been recorded by the good folk at the Js… (wipes a tear away)… reminds me of the one gig I have managed to get to…

When the Show is Over from Icecream Hands – grab hold of it while you still can! And then get the album! You won’t be disappointed…
