“Next” is the debut EP from Newtown (where else!) band The Hilarys.
The Hilarys list of credits include supports for Disneyfist, Panacea and Pollyanna at venues like the Sando, Feedback, UTS and Annandale as well as local community events around Newtown. The band has made their hard rocking strong female influences their trade mark and they take every opportunity to take that image to the people.
With this EP under their collective belts the idea of rock stardom will have to become second-nature to them. Jen, Jayne, Michelle and Meith-the-token-male have put together a small collection of typically- indie/Newtown stuff that is getting them recognized by names and places typical of this style of band. Whilst the collection itself is not stand-out definite rotation, however, is bound for The Hilarys on all-Australian programmes and stations around the place.
