Skaters are excellent examples of today’s funk while Peppercorn
demonstrates that you don’t have to be African-American to rap and slap with
the best of ‘em. Alpha
Spyder closes with another tribute, this time to the boys’ love of all
things red and fast. It’s a funk-metal speed-racer type of thing you would
expect to hear blasting from a small red Italian convertible.
With the way the funk market is in Sydney nowadays you’d have to go
elsewhere to make it in this genre, but these Ryde-Eastwood
boyz will have no problem with that! With some extra time in the production
suite, who knows what G'rimace
will follow "Mr Alternative"
with?
