Review - Brotherhood Lush "Mind Your Head"

independent EP

In the quest for the break-maker, Brotherhood Lush may have just found it in their latest independent release "Mind Your Head".

This CD differs decidedly from their debut, kicking straight into the lead/title track with no pretence; no qualms! Powerful and catchy, "Mind Your Head" should be The One for this Sydney beachside quartet. Even If may catch with the Austereo-Mix/Triple-T listeners with some clichèd lyrics but a very radio-friendly pop-rock ballad. The Deep Lagoon mix of Seasick closes the effort with some rock electronica for the alternative audience.

The all-too-visible influences within Milk have all but disappeared for this follow-up release, which seems to successfully capture what the band have planned for their musical direction. Fine stuff, indeed!!
