                     Assembly  Instructions:

STEP1) Lay the pieces of pipe in order
     descending from largest to smallest.
Feed the co-ax thru each pipe.
Starting at the end of the smallest pipe,
wrap the end of the small pipe with duct tape,
10-30 times or until the smaller pipe fits
     snug into the larger pipe.
Then about a foot or so back (small pipe)
from the first wrap, do it again 10-30 times.
This ensures a strait secure fit of each
     section of pipe.
     Repeat process on each section.

STEP2) Starting at the smallest pipe,
                   insert the smaller pipe into
                   the next largest pipe.
NOTE: A trial and error process
                  is necessary with the insertion
                  because the overall length
of the mast and weight to
                  length ratio.
It may be necessary to insert
as much as 4' or 5" of pipe
                  at each joint.
30' to 40' is a good goal to shoot for.

STEP3)  After you guestimate the overall
                    length of your mast.
                    it's time to drill.
Now is the time to use a careful hand
You do not want to damage your
                    co-ax cable.
      Starting at the smallest joint,
about  12"-18" down from the joint,
drill until the bit penetrates the
top of the inner pipe. STOP THE DRILL!!!
With the drill off, push the bit inward
until  the bit hits the opposing wall of
inner pipe.  Resume drilling strait thru
      both pipes.
Insert bolt and tighten nut (use washer).
      Tighten until snug.
Repeat process until all pipes are assembled.

STEP4)  Mount your antenna near the top
of the smallest pipe and connect co-ax.
Drill a hole near the bottom of the
largest pipe and feed the co-ax thru
      the hole.

STEP5) This is where the healthy friend
      comes in handy.
With a person standing at each
      end of the mast,
lift the smaller antenna end of mast
      overhead while walking toward the
      other end, keeping the mast overhead;
making sure the base of mast is secure
      and does not move out.
CAREFUL!!! Do not overextend the mast
or it may break in the erection process!
No thats not a joke!!! Or a pun!!!

STEP6) Secure the mast with brackets,
                  bunji cords, straps, etc...
NOTE:  It is important to secure mast
                  adequately!!!

STEP7) Rout co-ax to scanner and
                               enjoy!!!
