Our pets
All of the animals listed on this website along with several others were fostered through us until they found a loving forever home. I have always loved rescuing animals and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
First we have Coal the shiny black lab he is a very smart little boy and he loves his ball! Labs are wonderful dogs and can be calm and extremely intelligent. When Paul saw Coal in the Austin pound he couldn't wait to save him and put an application on him before he was even available for adoption. Coal was only about 9-10 weeks when we found him and probably escaped from a puppy mill. He loved to play fetch and was potty trained in only 2 days. We found Coal a loving family in Pennsylvania where he could run around on a 5 acre ranch with 3 other dogs. The new owners were overly grateful for receiving this wonderful little boy. We were sad to see him go but we new he needed a place to run.
Next we have Prince our gorgeous Persian kitten. He was a little bundle of joy. I've never knew how great having a cat could be until we got Prince. He was constantly purring and running about pouncing on his toys as if they were alive. He would come when you called him and he gave great massages. It was absolutely quieter having a little kitten vs. a PUPPY! Cats are calmer, cleaner, smarter, and quieter than dogs and they are great cuddlers! Prince would still be with us now if it had not been for a bad case of ringworm he contracted while in the pet store. At the time we were going overseas and he had to be in PERFECT health. He is now with a wonderful lady that just adores him.
Then there's Prince the Pomeranian (it seems we like this name) he was our second pom and he had a full coat. Pom's are unique they have a nice temperament but are somewhat slow in the learning department. I don't know if this is common of Pom's or just of mine but they do a potty dance (accompanied by screams) whenever they have to go number 2. I used it as a warning to make sure they were in the litter box and to get out the Oust. Pom's also do a cute little chase me dance and are very active little dogs. Prince was another rescue and we found him a loving home.
Last there's Deany the Long Haired
Chihuahua he was rescued from a terrible place in California and had worms,
Giardia, fleas, and a severe ear infection when we got him. He is now fully
recovered and still with us for the time being we're not sure yet if he will
be staying. Chi's are funny little dogs that love to be chased they bond with
people and can be jealous of other dogs. They get along best with their own
breed and make great 'mini' watch dogs. Deany is only 4lbs and loves to cuddle.
He has learned how to fetch and would be a great Fly ball dog. He jumps like
a little jumping bean every time we come home. Deany is sweet and low maintenance
he is content with living in small spaces and does not require a lot of outdoor
exercise. Once these little dogs have bonded with you, you can simply open
the door and they will go on their own little walk and then come back home
when they’re through.
