California
California knows how to party! We had a blast in Cali we went up and down the coastline just looking for fun things to do. During our trip to Hollywood we ran into the filming of the last episode of American Idol at the same time across the street was the premiere of Raising Helen. The waters are blue the sun is shining and the scene is hopping. The terrain in Southern California varies from place to place. In Malibu you see tall cliffs and sparse vegetation the weather is always nice not too hot and breezy. In Newport you see smaller cliffs with trees and plenty of vegetation weather is about the same as Malibu maybe a little warmer, less wind, and more rain. San Diego it's somewhat flatter with lots of vegetation, plenty of rain and little wind. Then there's inland California which is packed with hills and looks somewhat like a desert rain is rare and it is HOT! There definitely is no shortage of shopping in California there are all sorts of malls, outlet centers and local beach shops. There are tons of Theme Parks there Disneyland, Universal Studios, Six Flags, Knott’s Berry Farm and etc. We went to Six Flags Magic Mountain and rode as many roller coasters as we could (which was difficult due to the extremely hot weather and abnormally long lines). Due to work demands we had to cut our trip short so sadly we didn't get to see San Francisco. We did enjoy our visit especially the Hollywood area and also Newport Beach. We will probably go back to see San Francisco and then stop off in Vegas for some fun.
