Chapter 7: Mizuno and Ryo.

Meanwhile, in Mina's room, at her house, a small white Guardian cat sits.  He speaks to seemingly no one.  The talking cat begins;  ("Hello again! It's me, Artemis.  Since I get practically no part in this entire story till later, I get to keep you up to date with what's going on!  Two days have passed, and Ami hasn't told anyone yet.  The only person who knows is Greg, from an eerie vision. That's all for now, read on!" Artemis.)

"Trevor," Rochelle said in a mocking tone, "you shouldn't have waited.  You should crush her now."
"No, when they fight as one they're too strong.  I need to split their forces."  A dark plan swirled in the General's mind.
    "Sure General Idiocy."
"At least General Garnet doesn't just need my 'abilities'."
"Being able to change my shape has its advantages." Rochelle said as she turned into a red light.

Gregory Ryo gently rubbed his temple.  He had seen a flash of light, electricity.  Ami on the ground and blood.  Blood running along a sword, a samurai's katana.  Then he saw Trevor's laughing and an explosion of light.  Ami plummeting... Greg had to find out.  What was wrong?  Greg felt really bad about what he did.  Two days had easily passed, and Ami hadn't showed at the library once.  In fact, she avoided Greg at school as well.  Was it possible she knew what he had done?  Forging his dad's signature to get out of the hospital wasn't hurting anyone (just him).
This was the third day he had been waiting after school at the library.  Maybe her juku was going on longer than it should? Yes, she was probably at juku, Ami's daily classes at the cram school.  Maybe he should wait for her there, but not that he thought she needed it.  She was a genius, and he really cared for her.  Not as a friend, but as so much more.  Greg's father had told him that they had been delayed and wouldn't be leaving till October.
It was then that Matthew walked into the library, he was calm, cool and collected. (Artemis: "And had a fifteen-dollar fine!")  Finally they sat down and talked a few things over.  The date was August 25th.  ("Since Japanese schooling is slightly different from American, I believe that they would be in school at this time."  Artemis, again.)
    "Everything set Greg?"
    "Yes." Greg said to him.
"Could we keep our little secret from Ami?"
"It wouldn't be a surprise if we didn't, Matt." Greg said, referring to the surprise party planned for the blue haired genius.
    "Is she here?"
"She hasn't be to the library in awhile."
    "Something may be wrong."

Lita and Serena sighed, as they walked to the detention hall.  They were going as slow as possible.   It was only then that a familiar face appeared in front of them.  Ami!  What was she doing here?
"Ami," Lita yelled, "you're going the wrong way! The exit's thatta way."
"Which way to detention?" Ami asked, and both looked at her rather stunned.
"Why?" Was the obvious next question.
"Because... never mind.  I'm just there."
"Tell us Ami.  What did you do?"
"Lita, leave me alone.  I have detention today.  Is there a problem?"  Ami asked her friends, as they traded uneasy glares at each other.  Serena almost broke out into a laugh.
"That's funny Ami!  Really, where are you going."
"To Ms. Haruna's class.  For detention."
"Really, why are you going?" Lita said.  It was finally clear Ami wouldn't tell them why she was in detention, they stopped asking.  They would not find out, for a long time.

Raye and Mina sat at the temple, with the guardian cats beside them. Raye had been muttering about Serena being late again, but it was only now that they noticed no one else was here.  What was going on today?  Where was everyone?  No Ami, no Darien, not even Greg.

Ami sat quietly in the chair, at the farthest back of the room.  She hoped Serena wouldn't notice.  Her and Lita were both there for being late.  Ami still hadn't revealed why she had had detention.  But, the day slowly plodded along.  Soon the day ended, and the third day to the Tenth was on its way.  In only a few short days Boomerang would attack.
"Ami!" Whispered Serena.  "Tell me, what are you in detention for?"
"Quiet Serena!  I... never mind!"  Ami said, retreating to the safety of her book.

The Next Day:
Greg sat and waited at the library for the third day in a row.  Luckily, this time Ami showed up.  Greg felt the pain on his back when Ami hugged him.  The muscle and skin had sewn up like magic.  He never really knew how, but Dr. Mizuno was a wizard of a doctor.  He had to remember to thank her next time he saw her.
Ami was near tears.  Ami was truly shook up about something.  It may have something to do with that vision he had.  There was something very disturbing about her being torn apart by a man with electricity shooting from himself.  But Greg wouldn't make Ami worry about nothing.  Greg hoped it would be one of the few that never came true.  It was then that he remembered, he had a track record equal to Ami's math score... 100%.
She pulled away and opened her mouth to talk, but nothing came out. Greg had noticed she seemed tired, and very physically strained.  She seemed weakened, only three days since he had seen her last.  She was mentally and physically spent.  Something had really been pushing her to the limits of what she could handle.  Greg had to know what it was.  Squeezing her tightly, he began to talk to her.
"Ami, what's wrong?"  Greg carefully wiped away the girl's tears.  "Ami, are you upset over something I can help with."  He loved being able to wipe her tears.
"Greg, you couldn't help.  It's... Scout business."  Of course, that wouldn't keep Greg from asking.  Of course, he probably already knew.  She could see it in his brown eyes.  Those large, wonderful eyes that saw right through her.
"Oh, I wish you would tell me, Ami."  Greg let her rest her head on his shoulder.  He was enjoying this.  Even if for a moment, he forgot the seriousness and wished they could be normal teenagers.  In love...
"I have to fight... and I'm scared.  Greg, promise you won't get involved."
"Ami, you shouldn't worry so much! Avoid the fighting, after all you have the Sailor Scouts to help you.  You guys are invincible together.  And I'll protect you no matter what. You're going to be sixteen soon, and it isn't time for you to worry.  You should be thinking about your friends, life, and a relationship..."  Greg hoped Ami would pick up on his subtle hint.  He held her tightly.  This may reinforce his point.
"But, Greg, I don't know what to do... Boomerang can kill me so easily.  I can't fight him, even if I tried."
"Why are you straining yourself?  You seem so worried, and you are physically hurt.  What's happened?"
"I'm working out at the gym.  I figure I need to be in the best shape I can get into before Boomerang."  Greg shook his head.
"Forget the library tonight Ami.  Let's go get you some ice cream.  You've probably lost too much weight.  You need to take care of yourself better Ames."
"I do take care of myself.  Greg..." But Ami was cut off when Greg leaned towards her.  She looked into his eyes, and felt something odd in his hug.  It wasn't the hug friends used to comfort each other.  But... no, best not think like that.  But, her train of thought was cut off when he kissed her gently on her cheek.  Ami couldn't speak and so she used her only defense; she blushed.  Greg held her gently against him, and for that moment in time everything seemed right, Mercury or no Mercury.  It may not be an official date, but it was good enough for Gregory Ryo.

That Night:
Tuxedo Mask ran towards the large white tiger, which Luna had dubbed White.  Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars had arrived at the scene with the creature before him.  The agile man leaped on top of a car, and a rose flew into the ball of energy that had been flying towards the raven-haired girl.  It split into several smaller balls and shattered on the ground.
Sailor Mars prepared to attack the tiger's back, sending a ball of fire towards the creature.  As Serena stumbled to get the tiara off her head, the tiger had already escaped.  Tuxedo Mask grinned down on them.
"Sailor Mars, Sailor Moon! Congratulations, next time you will be victorious."
Serena yelled after the caped hero to stay, but he had already disappeared into the alleyway.

("The days passed slowly, and September tenth rolled closer.  All the while Ami went to the gym, and Greg to see Matthew for fencing lessons.  The other Sailor Scouts kept to themselves as well, though Mina and Nick continued to see each other, but finally the day rolled around.  It was nearly 5:00 PM, and Greg was waiting patiently at the Cherry Hill Temple, where he waited to see Ami Mizuno.  Ami however, sat as Sailor Mercury awaiting another visitor." Artemis  "It's me Artemis! Taking a nap.")

Boomerang looked at his opponent.  She had gotten stronger.  Never had he seen someone so determined to not fight.  But here she was, ready and willing.  Sailor Mercury would easily be defeated by the magical samurai.  Boomerang bowed, and Ami smiled at him.  The electricity surged around him.  "I am Boomerang, of Trevor Gains' personal guard.  I will destroy you in the name of Mizzen!"
"I am the pretty sailor-suited soldier Mercury! Douse water on your head and repent!" Ami shouted, as she took her pose as a Sailor Scout.  The battle began, and Boomerang sheathed his blade.  The blade wouldn't break her skin; he wouldn't strike an unarmed opponent.
The bolt finally flew from his hand, but the yellow skinned man had to be careful not to touch it, or he would fry.  Ami could dodge the first few very easily, and her VR visors appeared at the touch of a pretty blue earring.  She scanned him but spotted no weakness.  The third lightening bolt slammed her leg, and she fell to the ground hard.  Boomerang wouldn't strike her on the ground.  Ami believed, hopefully, that he was too noble.  Lucky for her she was right.  She took this opportunity to discern a way of defeating him.  Her visor beeped.  She had it!  Her plan was set; all she needed to do was turn his own attack against him.  But how?  The bolt struck under her, and she knew what to do.
"Boomerang, I can beat you, please surrender! I don't want to hurt you!"
"Mercury, Mizuno, do not mock me!"  With that the bolt surged from his hand, and he screamed.
"Mercury Bubbles BLAST!!" The cold, watery bubbles slammed into the bolt when it was but inches from his hands and he felt the electricity surge through him instead, the water serving as a conductor and sending his magical electricity back into himself.  The energy burned him up; he was not immune to the powers that he himself wielded.  He collapsed.  He was dying.  Boomerang drew the sword, his sword, and offered it to Ami.
"Take it... you have defeated me.  Kill me."
"I can't." Ami said, as she shunned the blade.  It was shoved back into her hand.
"Kill me!  But do it quickly! My life is yours!"  Boomerang exposed his neck.
"Then, can't I spare you?" Ami asked.  She couldn't see herself cutting him with any blade.
"Why would you want to?" Boomerang asked.  He was confused by her kindness.  Trevor said she was a cold-blooded murderer.  Couldn't be the same Mizuno, could it?
"Because, you are a person.  You can't really believe in Trevor!  Come on, you're very smart Boomerang.  Can't you side with the Sailor Scouts, or at least leave Trevor's side?"
    "He is my lord."
"But, your life is mine you said.  I order you to free yourself, and make your own choice."
"The order is, do-able, but what about my lord Trevor?"
Ami shook her head. "He isn't your friend!  He used you to try and kill me! Trevor is evil.  Can't you see that?"
"I know Mizuno Mercury.  But, until now I couldn't leave him.  Now though... I believe I could."
A blue circle appeared in the air, with Trevor there.  The blue haired man shook his head, and made motions to the extent of shaming Boomerang.  Several daggers appeared in the man's hand.
"Boomerang, step away from that girl."
"I am sorry Trevor, she is my master now.  She defeated me in combat.  I am no longer yours to command."  Boomerang carefully prepared for Trevor's wrath.  But it didn't come.  He simply laughed.
"Boomerang, kill her.  You let her beat you.  You could have killed her blindfolded!  Come off it; she is a murderer!"  Trevor prepared to hurl a dagger at Ami, and she covered her eyes.  She felt no pain though, heard no scream.  But she felt a heavy weight fall into her arms.

"Serena! Transform now!" Luna said, as she ran into the girl's surprise party at the shrine.
    "Why Luna?"
"You're friend Ami is in danger!  No time to explain! Hurry! It's Trevor!"
    Mina cringed. "Where is Artemis?"
    "I don't know."
Greg looked warily around, as the four girls changed in a flash of light.  They exited quickly, and silently.  He followed, but slowly fell behind.  He saw Tuxedo Mask zoom by in his car, 6:00 PM.  Greg had other plans for Ami tonight, not this.  He took the rapier from the hiding place in his coat, and looked at it.  'Well Matthew, let's see if you are really a good teacher'.

"Boomerang!" Ami said, as she carefully laid him down.  The man grabbed his sword, as an explosion rocked the balcony where they fought.  They were falling, soon they would hit the ground, and Trevor's victory absolute.
Boomerang stood to his feet, and turned the point to his stomach.  Ami screamed at the next motion, falling through the air and imploring him to stop what he was about to do, but it was too quick.  The blade pierced his stomach, and he grunted, not uttering one cry of defiance the samurai pushed the blade through him.
    "Why!?"
"Because, with my passing you can escape..." As Boomerang became a small yellow stone, the speedy fall slowed, and Ami was placed gently on the ground.  She paused for only a second to recover Boomerang's stone, and ran into the night.

Through the air flew and skateboard shaped object, Nick standing upon it.  It was an amazing device that he commanded, the wind blowing through his hair as he marveled at the speed he could attain.  Suddenly, he spotted something very odd below his building.  A girl in a very nice fitting blue mini-skirt was running off from what looked like the remains of part of the building.  He turned his 'jet board' around, and in a few minutes he saw something else.  The girls that the media had dubbed the 'Sailor Scouts'.  Short one.  Sailor Mars wasn't with them.  She was fairly far off, and he flew down next to her.
    "Hello! What's going on?"
"What is that thing?" The black haired girl asked, referring to his jet board.
"It's a vehicle that moves really fast," Raye hopped on behind him, and kicked off her heels.
"OK! Get moving, we have to find Sailor Mercury."
    "Who?"
"Just move it!" Raye shouted, as the board picked up speed.
"Who are you?  Sailor Mars?" Nick asked, as she gripped tightly to him.  The amount of speed they picked up scared her, and rightfully so.  In a few minutes they Raye recognized a large red car streaking around a corner, Tuxedo Mask!

Darien put his foot hard on the pedal.  His beautiful red car chased White.  The tiger had been running from him for an hour now, but he had it cornered.  It was hurt still, burns obvious on it, but it suddenly stopped.  He slammed into the tiger full force, and it flipped over the car, with a neck-breaking thud behind it.  An explosion of energy sent the car spinning off the road, but was left otherwise unharmed.  The remains that were left was just a white stone.
Darien stepped out, and saw he had a flat tire.  He opened his trunk but noticed he was short a spare as well. "Damn! I hope Sailor Moon can handle tonight without Tuxedo Mask," he said aloud to no one.

Trevor was only a few feet behind his quarry.  "Can't play cat and mouse much longer, can you?"
"Sure can," Ami said as she spotted a small store off to the side that was still open.  A plan she remembered Matt doing once before.  "I just need to get in there!"
Trevor saw where she pointed and turned to cut her off, but the blue haired girl turned in the opposite direction.  "What!  Damn girl!"  He was now falling very far behind.

Sailor Moon was running aimlessly now.  Sailor Venus was the only one with her as Jupiter's old wounds caught up with her and she had faltered.  Finally they came across an interesting sight. Two hands of pure rock shot into the air, knocking them aside.
"Venus Crescent Beam SMASH!"  The blast of energy severed the rocky hands, and they crumbled to the ground.  Farless stepped out, and cried in pain.  Mina noticed how he was weakened.  "Sailor Moon!  Use your tiara right now!  He is weakened!"
"Moon Tiara... MAGIC!"  The glowing yellow discus slashed through the man, leaving only the silent blue stone.  It glowed slightly, as one final voice emanated from it.

Matt dodged a wicked piece of wood.  Ekomin, standing triumphantly upon a ledge, had him cornered on the roof.  Little to Matt's knowledge (or anyone else's) Ekomin had snatched Zentar, and was ready to kill the boy.  The skilled man had beaten Matt into near submission.  The wood really hurt against the younger boy, but a glint of light in Matthew's eye showed him ready to fight, even if not very well!  In a quick motion the younger boy jumped aside, and rolled.  The temple roof was a hard place.  A beam of energy flew from his hand, or so it seemed.
A long green colored nozzle of a gun is where the shot came from.  It snapped Ekomin's rod into two pieces, and it was dropped to the side.
    "So, you are him?"
    "Maybe, Ekomin."
"Tell me how this talks?" Ekomin demanded, as the emerald dagger was unsheathed.  He made a motion and threw the dagger.  Zentar managed to control its motion, slowed, then stopped.
"Zentar! NOW!"  Matt yelled, as the dagger ceased in mid air and turned.  It streaked back towards Ekomin, leaving a large red gash along the side of his stomach.  He doubled over, allowing Matt an easy follow-up, a punch, that knocked him from the roof.  Ekomin hit the ground and cursed.
"No matter, Knight!  You are too far away to help your precious Scouts now!"  Ekomin wrenched the bloody dagger from his chest, and dropped it as he disappeared from sight.
"Precious Scouts?"  Matt asked, putting his gun away.  "Could it be that these girls are...?"

Ami had begun running out of endurance, even as Sailor Mercury.  She had finally taken refuge at a small store.  It was still open, and Trevor and chased her into it.  She slammed the emergency stop on the escalator after she had reached the top, but before Trevor had even reached her.  Seconds, precious seconds that was what she needed.
Pushing a man away, she grabbed his cart.  Muttering an apology to the man she sent the cart flying into Trevor.  Thank God for that running away lesson Matt had shown her.  Otherwise she would be in a lot more trouble.  She ducked into a bookstore, which was right next store.

Trevor felt a small energy pulse.  'What? Ekomin has been defeated?  Farless?  The Tiger?  Am I the only one left? No matter, Mizuno is as good as mine'.  With that thought, a bookcase fell on top of him.  'She's good at this cat and mouse, but I'm better!' he said as he prepared to give chase.

* * *

"Sir Garnet?" Rochelle asked a blonde haired man.
    "Yes Lieutenant Rochelle?"
    "May I assist with Trevor?"
"No, not until I prepare your blue sapphire.  It requires too much from you to do that.  Once it is ready, my little shape shifter, then we can handle Ms. Mercury and all her little friends."
"Yes sir."  Rochelle disappeared in a red light.  Garnet stood there for a second.  He rubbed his oddly shaped nose.  Soon he would defeat the scouts.  Then he would show them all at the Nega-Verse that he was the best general.  If only Trevor doesn't screw up.

8:00 PM.
Raye, high over the ground, searched to find Ami for a long time, but they couldn't.  She wasn't anywhere to be seen.  They had seen Trevor, who ignored their presence.  It was apparent he was trying to follow her.  Finally, Sailor Mars found her.  There, in clear view of all, the young blue-haired girl made a disgusting face, preparing to face what she was planning.
'Guys, if anyone asks you about this, lie.'  With that, she jumped into a manhole cover and began swimming.  The others couldn't understand why she just jumped into the sewer.
Gathering himself, Trevor split into four forms of himself.  The first form darted in after her, while the Scouts started to chase.  The second rose to confront the two on jet board.  The third floated towards the woods, near a clearing and an abandoned old house.  The fourth flew towards Sailor Moon.

Serena screamed as Trevor barreled at her and Mina.  The two blondes were being torn apart by him.  Finally, Mina wouldn't stand it.
"Venus Lovely Chain, Encircle!"  The golden chain-linked hearts encircled Trevor, and flashed.  He seemed unharmed.  The small black cat leaped onto to Serena's shoulder.
"Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus! This one isn't real!  The real one has retreated! Disbelieve the illusion!"  Mina listened to the cat, and watched as the damage caused by the illusionary Trevor vanished.  After pleading from cat and friend, Serena to disbelieved this image of Trevor.  Finally it was defeated.

Fifteen minutes!  Nick had been slashing at Trevor for fifteen minutes.  It was the strongest barrier he had never seen.  Finally, thankfully for his aching hands, Sailor Mars reached into a small pocket, and removed a piece of paper.  Holding it near her head, the image dissipated.  It was only an illusion!  Nick sighed, as the board slowly lowered into the sewer system.
"But if this one isn't real..." Mars began.
    "That girl!" Nick cried.
    "Ami!"
    "What did you say? Ami?"
    "Just go... I'll explain later."

Ami had been running from Trevor now, and it was nine-thirty.  9:30 PM.  This Trevor had followed her despite the fact Nick and Raye were on his tail.  She entered the forest, and she ran through it.  She didn't know where she was going, just that she was going there.

Greg leaned against the building.  A vision came to him.  He saw Sailor Mercury, not an uncommon site in his dreams, and Trevor.  The man blasted her with a massive bolt of energy.  All that remained in his dream was a full moon, and a house on a hill.
Greg quickly analyzed his dream.  First it was clear the first part.  Ami was in trouble.  Second, the house.  House on the hill... of course! The old Gains' place!  That had to be Trevor's hideout! Finally the full moon, which was important somehow.  There would be a full moon tonight!  It would be at exactly 12:00 midnight when that happened.  He looked at his watch.  "Shoot! Two hours! I've got two hours!  What to do?" He shouted out loud.  Everyone on the street stared at him, but he didn't even react to it.    He saw his mode of transportation, a pizza delivery.  He jumped onto the back of the vehicle, and pushed the rider off it.  The motorbike was moving quickly to where she was.
Ami.  He remembered the kiss he had put on her cheek.  He wanted to kiss her on her lips.  He shook his head.
"Best not think of that."  He muttered... two hours.  It was almost enough if he could reach that abandoned house.  He had seen it on a hike once, and sent his newly acquired motorbike off full throttle towards his destination.  Unfortunately, he ran out of gas almost immediately and had to hike out to the house.  Finally, after an uneventful fast run, he arrived successfully.  A sight befell him that tore his heart from his chest. He was late! He arrived, too late!

Ami noticed that Trevor had stopped following her.
    "Where'd he go?"
The sad fact was that Trevor was right in front of her.  She screamed.  Trevor grabbed her shoulder, throwing her to the ground.  Soon she was being slapped, but she could here the sound of someone approaching.  Blood was beginning to run down her face.  "You... do you know what you have cost me!  Cost Lord Garnet!  Cost Mizzen!"  Another vicious punch ripped open another gash on her face.  "Look at me when I talk to you!"
Ami decided that it was best to do as he said.  "So, what are you going to do, now that I'm at your mercy?"
"Did I tell you talk!?"  Another punch across her face.  Trevor stepped away, in front of a large cave like entrance.  "No, I didn't."  A dagger materialized in his hand.
Ami cringed as the dagger pierced her leg.  Followed by one cutting along her arm.  Finally Trevor sighed, and a massive ball of energy was pooled into hand.  He laughed as Sailor Mercury tried to stand to her feet.  A little bolt of energy knocked her to the ground.  Blood began running freely from the cuts. "So, Sailor Mercury, you thought you were really smart didn't you!  But now, I have you.  Watch as your lifeblood drains away.  You can't last much longer.  But I won't let you pass away silently into the night."
"Why not?" Ami asked, the sound was coming closer, but the blood running into her ears and eyes kept her from being sure.  Another burning sensation filled her chest and stomach. "You have a superiority complex, don't you?"
"Don't get smart!"  The sensation of the next dagger plunging into her skin was dulled, but only because Ami was losing consciousness.  Finally, Trevor was done; it was nearly midnight, the appropriate time for a sacrifice to the demon Kaziz.  "Happy Birthday, Ami Mizuno, Princess of Mercury."

The beam of light flashed forward.  Trevor's psychic beam flashed, and almost struck Ami.  Almost.  A flash of white, blue and a light brownish color saved the girl.  When the light cleared Greg was collapsed on the ground.  His coat and shirt were destroyed, leaving a burned, scarred and shredded chest and stomach.  His legs were covered in blood, and his eyes were closed tightly as blood ran over them.  His attempt to move the injured girl out of the way met with disaster.
Then a small bit of wetness touched his cheek.  A light hand wiping blood out of his eyes.  He saw clearly, Ami... no Sailor Mercury, looking down at him.  Her beautiful sky blue eyes were brimming with tears.  Even though she was bloodied, no where near as bad as he, her beauty stunned him.  For a moment all the pain he was feeling subsided.  Ami gently touched his cheeks, and cried.  Her tears fell on him, and he certainly felt much easier.
"Ami... (Greg coughed slightly, and blood trickled from his mouth) are you ok?  He can't do anything more..." Greg felt her hands drift away.  He saw she was still holding his cheeks in her gentle gloved hands.  They were stained with his blood.
"Greg, don't talk.  You'll be all right.  Dear God, please be ok!  Why?" Ami asked him.  He felt duller, and her beautiful touch was fading away from his memory.  As Greg felt his eyes close he tried to say one more thing.
"Ami... I (more coughing and sputtering)" Ami carefully lay his head down.  She put his hand to her cheek.
"Greg... please don't talk."  Ami kissed his hand.  Then leaned looked down over his face, and their faces moved closer.

"Enough!" Trevor yelled.  "I'm right here!"  He kicked Ami away from Greg and planted his foot hard on the boy's chest.  That seemed to cause a fire to light inside of Greg.  He grabbed the man's foot, twisting it.  He pushed him away, and he stumbled back.
"Stay away from her..." Greg said, as he stood shielding Ami from Trevor's glare.  The dagger flew towards him, and it stuck deep into his shoulder.  He forced himself to stand.  "I'll stop you... (Greg felt blood trickle from his mouth. It blended with the rest of his blood. He ignored the pain) if it takes my life."
"Why Gregory Ryo?"  Trevor asked.  Greg drew the rapier from what remained of his pants.  The energy washed over him.  Matthew had said that every fencer formed some sort... no that was a movie.  The rapier moved towards his adversary, but it was caught.  Trevor laughed as he snapped it into two with a sickening twist.
"Just like that, I can snap you Gregory Ryo.  Don't think I can't."  Trevor knew he was drained.  But he would physically beat this kid to a pulp.  'But why, Gregory Ryo, do you lay down your life for Mizuno?  What has she done for you?"
"Something you wouldn't understand! A feeling that is as meaningless in your world as television and radio!  You'll... never understand... love."  Greg felt weary, as blood washed over him he could feel himself slipping away.  He fell back, and expected to land hard on the ground but felt something warm catch him.  He saw tear-brimmed eyes staring down at him.
"You've been very brave Greg... please rest."  Ami gently put him on the ground.  He held her hand close to his face.
"Ami... what I was (Greg's eyes slowly close... he shakes his head trying to keep from losing consciousness) going to say is that, no matter what..." Greg fell limp in Ami's arms.  She cradled him gently against her.  Besides the fact that Trevor was there Ami cried.  She couldn't take this.  Was he dead?  Did the one guy... no best not think like that.  She kissed him lightly on the cheek as she lay him on the ground.
"I... am the pretty Sailor-suited soldier, Sailor Mercury.  I will not let you harm my friend anymore!  I fight for love and justice..."
"Mercury!" Sailor Moon yelled, as she and Venus showed up on the scene.  They all saw Greg collapsed on the ground in his poorest of conditions.  Ami was covered in blood as well, just as injured.  It was only shortly after that Nick and Sailor Mars appeared from the sky, Mars jumping and landing next to Sailor Mercury.
Ami collapsed into Raye's arms.  She cried into her friend's shoulder.  "Raye... Greg?" The tears flowed freely from her.  Trevor smirked.  This boy meant a lot to her.  He felt poorly about what had happened to Iopee.  He was right.  They could have manipulated her with this Gregory Ryo.
