Forensic Crime Fighting Tools (cont.)
Fingerprints
Fingerprints are resulted when friction or pressure is applied bewteen the fingers and the surface they are in contact with. These fingerprints will remain on your fingers even if you had suffered from burns, abrasions, and/or cuts. That is unless a serious injury were to destroy the "dermal papillae" which is the layer of tissue underneath the epidermis which contains sweat glands, blood/vessels and nerves.
These prints can conclude ones personal identity due to the fact that every single persons fingerprints are unique. They don't change during age and growth.
Document Examination
Document examination is very useful during an investigation. Everyone in the world has a different style handwriting, whether the difference is between the way the letters are arched or the style the "G"s are curled. Simple points in handwriting in documents can prove whether that person actually wrote that document or if someone forged it to look like theirs. This type of crime fighting tool is very usefulduring investigations due to its reliability of proving who wrote a specific document.

Blood Spatter Evidence
Blood spatter evidence is a very reliable way to determine what happened at a murder investigation. By observing the direction, size and shape of the blood spatter, you can determine who was striking who, at what angle, and the distance apart they were from each other. This type of evidence is used very frequently in order to determine who the victim(s) were and who the killer(s) were at the scene. Blood at some scenes had been cleaned up, but by using a UV (Ultra-violet) light, it will help show any signs of blood, along with a few other forensic science determining tools.
There are so many types of evidence that can be used to solve a crime. Although during the process everyone who works to collect that evidence is dependant on each other because without any of them proceeding to do their job, the crime would either not be solved or it would be solved less accuratly. Everyone depends on each other. Remember in order to piece together the puzzle, your going need all of the pieces. Same goes for the crime. To solve the crime properly and accuratly, your going to need all of the evidence to prove it and piece it together in order to solve it.
