Prologue...
"How dare you get in my way doc!" Bass storms into the lab as he glares down at his creator. "I had that blue twerp right in the palm of my hands! I don't need your help in finishing him off!"
"You FOOL!" Exclaimed the doctor. "I've given you many chances to finish off Megaman and you blew it! I'm sick of your failures and exxcuses!" Dr. Wiley looks over his blueprints as he begins to display his work to Bass. "I have something better in store for out little blue pest." Bass looks at the blueprints as he scoffs at the design.
"Please... What makes this future failure so special?" he said in disbeleif.
"I thought you'd say that..." the doc said as he began to pull up new data on the monitor. Bass looks up at the data as his eyes begin to widen. "What is this?" he said as he turned to the doctor. "Where did this come from?"
The doctor snickered as he stood up from his console. "I'm not as inferior as you think, Bass... After all, I did create you and Treble. With all the data I had collected on Megaman, I discovered the flaws of my previous designs. Since the data on King was destroyed by Protoman, I had to start over from scratch." Wiley walked over to Bass as he looks over to the blueprints.
"I'll admit, the plans you see before you are a once in a lifetime fluke, but so was Megaman. These designs were the missing link I needed and once my new creation is finished, Not even Megaman can stop him."
"So what're you gonna call this one so I can tell him how weak he is?" Bass mocks.
"This is only the first in a long line of successes... I shall call him... Zero..."
"Ha! A good name for a future loser..." Bass laughed as he began to leave the lab. "I'm sure that once he's been built, Megaman will be finished. I'm going to get ready to finish off Megaman once and for all! So don't get in my way!" Bass begins to storm out as the doctor looks on at his blueprints. "It doesn't matter what you say anymore, Bass..." he says to himself. "Zero is a machine to be feared and even you can't shake that feeling off..."
