Articulation Disorder

When you think of an articulation disorder, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?  Many people would think that a disorder is something that cannot be fixed or changed but, most of the time it can be corrected.

A certified Speech Language and Hearing Pathologist would be the person to help you with your disorder, whether it is a speech, language, or articulation disorder. Most of the time, the earlier the problem is caught and worked on, the easier and the better chance you will have to decrease or solve the problem of that certain disorder.

Articulation disorder is a very common disorder in children.  If the parent(s) is/are attentive, they would be able to sense if there is a problem or if there is an irregular pattern that is forming.

To prevent someone from later struggles in articulations, I will inform you on what articulation disorders are, the warning signs of articulation disorders, the normal age range for production of certain sounds, and actions that can be taken to correct those errors if found.

First Step Is Knowing

Before we can decide what to do about a problem we must know what exactly the problem is and what does it mean.  After we know and understand the problem , then we are one step closer to solving it.
