| *Indonesia*consists of five main islands; Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Irian Jaya and about 30 small archipelagoes, a total of more than 17508 islands!!! Geographically, it stretches 3200 miles from East to West and straddles the equator between the Australian and Asian continents. *Indonesia*is one of the most highly populated country in the world. Our official main language is Bahasa Indonesia. Other languages include English, some dialects and Sundanese, Javanese and Madurese. English is widely spoken in the main cities and tourist areas. The most popular tourists attractions is undoubtedly in Bali Island. It has the highest number of tourists yearly,it has beautiful sandy beaches and excellent work of arts. The curency of Indonesia is Rupiah, but several foreign currency, most notably US Dollars & European Pounds are widely accepted in a lot of places. The Indonesians are generally friendly and helpful. They are willing to help each other and would be definitely glad to welcome international travellers. The living costs in Indonesia is relatively low, so if you work hard you will definitely strive and excel. Indonesian Independence Day is on 17 August 1945. National anthem is Indonesia Raya (i'm sure u must hear of this song before). The symbol of Indonesian is Garuda Pancasila, which shows the power... (persatuan & kesatuan Indonesia).
