TERMS OF PURCHASE

Our terms of purchase for kittens are:
1.) The kitten(s) must be neuter/spayed by 1 year of age, and proof of alter must be sent to TamaNeko for their records.  The kitten(s) shall neither sire nor birth any litters prior to alteration unless arrangements have been made in advance with TamaNeko Cattery for a breed-back purchase.

2.)  If the purchaser at any time decides they cannot or do not wish to care for their kitten/cat any longer, the kitten will be returned to TamaNeko for new placement.  Under no circumstances will any kitten from TamaNeko Cattery be turned over to a shelter or rescue, and new placement will not occur unless TamaNeko Cattery has first been contacted for approval.  TamaNeko Cattery agrees to return current value of the cat to the purchaser upon return.  If the kitten/cat has not been altered (neutered/declawed), full purchase price will be refunded.  In no case will the return price exceed the original purchase price.

3.) The purchaser agrees to keep the kitten/cat up to date on all shots/vaccinations as per state regulations, and to treat the kitten/cat in a humane and ethical manner.

     We believe these to be reasonable terms of purchase, but if for some reason the purchaser finds flaw with them, they are welcome to discuss it prior to purchase of a kitten so that a new purchase agreement could be printed, should it be required.  This is also the purchase agreement of our Pet Quality kittens, the agreement for breed or show kittens is slightly different.

GENETIC GUARANTEE

     TamaNeko Cattery guarantees it's cats/kittens to be free of disease, congenital, or genetic defects.  We guarantee our kittens are from TICA registered litters, and that they are not line or inbred.  We guarantee that they have had their shots current and up to date at the time of purchase, and that they have not been exposed to any disease.  Their health is guaranteed for thirty days past the purchase date, provided they are not put in at-risk situations or exposed to animals that may carry disease.  Their genetic health is guaranteed for one year from the purchase date, and at any time during that year, should the kitten/cat develop an unforseen genetic problem, the kitten/cat's purchase price will be refunded or a replacement kitten found.  TamaNeko will not request the kitten/cat's return under these circumstances, but should the purchaser decide not to keep the kitten/cat, TamaNeko will take it back and render all necessary medical aid.  The kitten/cat's congenital health is guaranteed for the life of the cat.  Our kittens are born healthy, to healthy parents who are free from any genetic or congenital defect.
     TamaNeko recommends you bring your new kitten to your own vet for a health check up after purchase.  This will give your vet a chance to become familiar to your kitten and help reduce the fear of the vet's office.  It will also provide surety that the kitten you brought home is healthy and in top condition, and allow you to transfer health records to your vet as well as setting up required shot appointments.  Our kittens come with a health certificate stating they are FeLuk/FIV free, or, should the kitten be purchased at an age too young for the tests, the kitten may be brought to our vet for the test to be run at our cost.
