(Gameplay Continued)
Now I cannot forget to mention the choices in this mode you get to pick what set of guns you wish to have ranging from Fists to Explosives these can truly affect how the match will be played if you using pistols everyone's gonna have to be in pretty close proximity of each other to get  a clear shot that has a good chance of hitting . But if your using something like the automatics you just spray the room with bullets and your likely to hit something. There are also settings you can choose from plain Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, You only live twice which gives each player two lives and you must be the last one standing to win, The Living Daylights which if Flag Tag where you must find the one white flag in the level and hold onto it by not dying for the longest amount of time  which is made even harder  because you can't attack at all while holding the flag, Licenced to Kill which simply makes the match one hit kills, and finally The Man With The Golden Gun whoever manages to get the Golden Gun in the arena can kill everyone else with one shot.  In all of these matches you can set up a point limit or a time limit and pick a character of choice to play as from a list of about 60 different characters.  All in all the gameplay is about as close to perfect as it can get and still holds up after all these years as it's semi sequel Perfect Dark proves.

Sound (7 of 10): Their has always been ups and downs to the cartridge format one up is no load time on bad is there are hardly any games  had voice acting on N64 back when Goldeneye was made (barring Starfox 64 another great game) . So Goldeneye is mainly text menus and no voice to further the plot but of course that's a minor gripe because the music in the game is superb it all sounds like music that would be in a James Bond film mainly techno but the music was implemented well by the fact in one level there is an elevator while inside you hear calm elevator music step outside and you hear the levels main music rather amusing and a sign of good work on Rare's part. The sound effects are also good guns also sound like you would expect them to all the way down to the explosions  and gaurds gasp , whine and yell when shot . Overall good Music and sound but the games plot for those that hadn't seen the film would've truly been nice to have.

My Final Verdict on Goldeneye as you can tell is a good one this game comes GREATLY recommended by me it's a players choice game now or can be purchased even cheaper through Ebay or a used videogame store and if your a N64 owner over the age of 12 and don't own this you should be taken out tied up by some russians and shot execution style 8) .  Anyway, this game is worth the purchase of N64 itself it truly is a wonderful game that if you get a group of friends with you to play you may never stop playing other then a little competition it is THE best First Person Shooter on a console. So what are you waiting for 007? GO GET THIS GAME!
