IT'SA ME MARIO.......IT SAYSA SO ON MY UNDERPANTS!
It's almost funny how this guy has lasted so long who would have ever guess a fat little plumber being the pioneer character of many of today's gaming standards 2D games and 3D games all owe something to the little overall wearing plumber boy Mario. Super Mario Land 2 is probably the best "Original" Gameboy iteration of Mario, since as of recent Nintendo seems content with releasing port after port of old console versions of Mario to the Gameboy Advance but back when the Chrome screened Gameboy was king of the hill for portable gaming Nintendo didn't just rehash old Mario's by porting them over they made original games for the Gameboy and I personally am glad they did. While Super Mario Land was a good game I believe this ones the superiour of the two in almost every respect. The graphics in SML 2 are quite good for the Gameboy's tiny screen with a very cartoony look with very well detailed backgrounds and some very interesting levels, how many games have you played where the main hub for one of the worlds is a robotic version of the title character and the levels are different parts of said robot? In Super Mario Land 2 you'll do just that as well as play as Mario as a spaceman, fire his usual fireballs and one of the first times ever Mario had wings hooked to the top of his hat which gives him the ability to fly for a short period of time(nope the N64 didn't get it first). This is the pinnacle of the Original Gameboy's platform games and is definitely a MUST BUY whether you like platform games or not Mario's games have always had a charm that everyone likes to play and Super Mario Land 2 will not dissappoint, you don't wanna be without this one on a long car drive with whichever iteration of the Gameboy you may own you need this game.
