Entry for August 31, 2006
Hi Family and Friends.

Phil had a real good day today.  He was up from 6AM until 6PM.  We saw the sleep Dr. today.  I asked him if the machine Phil had was the best one available.  He said it was a" good" one but there were newer and better models.  I told him "that is what we wanted to get for Phil the best they have".  So he is going to have the company that we received this one from bring us their newer and best model.  I think they are trying to get rid of their old inventory.  When the Dr. pulled  the memory card out of it it had someone elses information on it.  The newer one will be half as big and quieter.  So we are happy we asked.  They reprogrammed this one until we get the new one at less wind pressure.  Pray that we can get him to sleep with it.

Phil is really doing well I think that the remedy Dr. Kale put him on is working wonders.  Phil is off all medication.  He ate some fish and clam strips from Long John Silvers for lunch even a little coleslaw it was just like a date!  We haven't been anywhere like out to lunch for a long time.  I kept watching for him to not do well with is but all was well. He ate a real dinner of tuna casseroleand fresh pears ( he requested it).  I watched him eat that.  Not something I would request.  Whatever works.

We found out that he has health insurance built up until the end of May and they have some things in place if he needs it longer.  That is  a load off my mind.   Although I think he will be better than new by then!  Every day this week I woke up and felt like it was Christmas.   Each day has brought sooooo much encouragement  and promise.

Tomorrow until Tuesday Phil has all that time off of all appointments.  Then starts the marathon.

Thank you for praying.

Love Donna &  Phil
