Entry for August 25, 2006
Dear Family and Friends,

Phil made  it through another day.  He hasn't eaten a lot today but has kept it all down today and  now it has been 6 days in a row......Phil is soooooooo tired all the time I guess that is the next thing to overcome the cronic tiredness.    He would just stay in bed all the time if we let him.

Yesterday since he had the day off of all appointments I thought it would be a good day for him to look at all the correspondence that he has recieved from you all.  There is about 125 pieces in all.  He read every one of them.  He had tears in his eyes pretty much the whole time he was reading.  Mark and Kim your card and note really touched his heart.  After he read it through his  tears I said (that's some of our kids) and he said (Yes it is) Phil is real proud of you.  Thank you for the card and taking the time to write the heartfelt words.  Melody your letter was so special too, Laura and I we both  sobbed after reading it.  Thank you for the precious encouragement.   I would like to mention all of them but that would be to much.   Each piece has meant so much to all of us.  One day I hope to make a book for Phil and the Family as a keepsake of this tender year in our lives.  I will use each piece he read yesterday.  I was thinking earlier today I don't remember who all I have properly thanked and who I havn't  through this foggy last two months.  Please forgive me if I have missed you, I lost the sheet telling me  what I had done  sending thank you notes.  It is pretty amazing all the people who have loved us and done so much for us that I can't remember it all.   So please accept this poor excuse of a thank you I am sending now.  We really truly Thank You All.

Phil is still suffering, not as much but it is still hard.  His Mom keeps reminding us that he will completely recover, please continue to pray that she will be right.  He still has so much to offer this world.  Some days it seems harder for me than others, to keep up the perky spirit.  Most of the time I have it but some nights I am pretty tired and it is harder to wait on the Lord and his timing in all of this.  We continue to need each heart strengthening prayer.  Thank You for praying.  May God Bless You for it.

     Love Donna Phil and Kids
