Entry for August 6, 2006
Hi Family and Friends,
Today was the third day that Phil was able to eat and be calm about it! We are happy about that. Although it was not a very active day. Because it is Sunday, I called a day of rest, Phil took me up on it. Although, we did start the morning off with getting ready for church and visiting with my sis Laura and her husband Randy, they came over with some wood for the wood stove before church. Phil wanted to go to church so we gave it a shot and it worked out great! We had an incognito bucket hiding out just in case. It wasn't necessary! We enjoyed being at church together. Fred reminded us all of the importance of prayer in our lives. It was a good morning. I think it wiped Phil out, because he ate a little and SLEPT all day. I kept bugging him waking him up and made him drink 5oz glasses of water all the time. I think he does better with several small glasses of water rather than that big jug the hospital gave him, that baby is overwhelming. We are getting sneaky around here in how we get the fluids in him. Whatever works!
Tomorrow is Matthews 22ND birthday. It's hard to believe my baby is as old as Phil was when we were married. What were we thinking! I think 22 must have been much older back then.
We continue to need your prayers and are thankful for them, have a good night.
Love Donna and Family
