Entry for August 5, 2006
Dear Friends and Family,
Today was another pretty quiet day for Phil. He has made it through 2 days now with good nourishment. (Compared to what he was getting).
We went to the church and walked around the basement halls and then up the stairs to the big room and walked around that and then back downstairs. Matt was there to help out. It went pretty well.
While talking with a friend today who is a nurse and has worked in home health care. I was expressing my desire to have someone who has been through this type of stroke to talk with Phil about their experience, and how so far there is no one who knows anyone with this experience. She told me that the reason for this is that people with this type of stroke don’t usually live to tell their story. Reminding me, that this really is a miracle that Phil is with us still!
A few guys form Phil’s work (Interior Technology) came out and put up the outside railing for Phil. It is going to be just what he needs and looks great too!
Phil is ready to have a few visitors. Please call and let us know if you would like to come and visit him. He would like that. We just are not sure yet what time of day he will be feeling well, so a call ahead of time would be helpful.
Thank you all.
Love Donna, Phil, and family
