Entry for July 14, 2006
Dear Friends and Family,
Phil had a little better day today. He was able to keep down all of the little bit of food that he ate. The headache was a tiny bit better he had his eyes open a little more. He is soooooooooo tired. I was there for one of his hours of Physical Therapy. He walked a little better by himself swayed a little, it made me so nervous. I had to leave when the (tiny) lady physical therapist had him step over long rods and maneuver between cones. I didn't want him to pick up my nervous vibrations. I felt like when I taught the kids to drive and I wanted to help them put on the breaks but sat still, hoping they didn't notice me pushing my foot through the floor. Saying "the break is your friend, the break is your friend". I think It is a mother thing. I kept, keeping myself from putting my arms out to catch him, I just had to leave. He did fine without me. That wound on his forehead (almost healed) from the fall back in the ICU has given me a little shell shock I think.
I know your prayers helped him get through the day again today please continue. God wants us to bring our petitions before him he likes to show his power that way.
Phil needs a lot of Gods power to continue putting one foot in front of the other, in spite of all the pain he is in. We are so thankful for you.

Love Donna Phil and Family
