Wednesday 27th
Dear Family and Friends,
Today was a quiet day Sept for Phil he didn’t have therapy until 3:45. Stacia did give him a workout once he got there. Today he climbed a 7 foot ladder over 10 times and did rather well. He also carried the ladder by himself out of the therapy from and into the lobby where she had him do that part of his workout. Then she had him go outside in front of the hospital and play kick ball with me. After that she tied his legs together with that stretch ribbon type stuff and side step as he passed the ball back and forth with me. He was happy to say goodbye to her today!
Phil’s parents went home today. Phil will be staying home alone now I think he will do just fine! Phil was able to finish that book he started last week. That’s his first book since the stroke it will help so much to get those new glasses next month.
He was a little dizzy today when he emptied out the dishwasher. But I guess that is good for his gyroscope to get it back in balance.
Matt has another interview at BJ”s tomorrow I think it is the 5th or 6th one there. If that doesn’t work out he has an interview at Best Buy next week. If you think of it please pray for him tomorrow.
Matt is taking 3, 4 hour education classes. He thinks he will enjoy them all; they all have group projects as the final. He has friends in all the classes and knows people in all of his study groups so that will help a lot. Tonight he is studying with about 6 buddies and playing a video game tournament at the same time. Studying in between turns. That’s my boy I think that’s how he learns best with a lot of people around. He sure has a great group of buddies, what an answer to our prayers.
Well tomorrow history at the Grable’s will be made at 5am! There will be little water fountains going off in our front yard. Bill came over and showed us how to program the sprinkler system that he and Phil put in before the stroke. I am so happy that I won’t be running around the yard in my muddy little red plastic shoes and a hose trying to keep things alive any more. I just might get up early for the occasion.
Well this is my second attempt at this message the first one was better and not so disjointed but it decided to vanish when I tried to copy it with ctrl-c. What a bummer so I just threw this one together and if is goes away you’ll never know because I will give up.
Thank you for your prayers.
Good night.
Love Donna and Phil and Family
