Wednesday Sept 20Th
Dear Friends and Family,
Phil had a good day today, Josh came over and had lunch with him he liked that!  He has been staying home by himself while I go to work.  He promised me that he wouldn't go into his shop.  (He says that he doesn't remember making that promise).  But so far he has kept it.   He has been making his own lunch and helping with a few chores like folding laundry and doing some dishes.  He hasn't been taking naps, that is good I guess.  I have a few light switches that are sparking when we flip them on so I think that Phil is about ready to fix those.  He hung my hose wheel last week out in back.  He said that made him a little dizzy.  But that is good for him to do those things that make him a little dizzy because it is retraining his brain.  Today he had two therapy appointments after my work day.  They are really making him do some hard and crazy looking things.  Especially his P.T. Stacia.  He was so worn out by the time we left.  Then I made him go with me to Grocery Outlet so he could push my cart and pick out some food he thinks he might like.  Not much luck there, nothing looks desirable to him.  He did choose a few things just to make me happy.  I didn't have any trouble choosing some mighty fine looking M&M's for myself.  it's a pity he didn't want me to share them with him! Wish we could trade appetites for a few months.
There is still no news on the brain fluid.  Dr. O's office couldn't find a test for it and they were waiting for him to come in.  It must not be too urgent.  (I hope).   His O.T. Colette we call her "the soft talker" thinks Phil will be done with O.T. by November.  She and Stacia are so excited that Phil has an appointment with Dr. Wjohoski the Neurological Eye Dr...  They seem to think he is the best around.  Colette has seen improvement in Phil's eye sight in the time she has been working with him.  She did a few little tests with him this afternoon.
The speech thing is still not improving, I suppose that we should be happy for what has improved (and we are) it's just such a bummer to see something like that get worse.  We are pretty spoiled with all the other improvements that we just think we should have it all!  I guess.  It will be interesting in a year or two to look back and see what God had in mind, allowing this part of Phil's life to be upset as it is.  So far with all the goofy upsetting things that have happened in our lives we have been able to see God's hand on us when we look back at them, so why should this be any different!
Well I guess it is time to get ready for bed.  I am tired but not the kind of tired I was a few weeks ago, someone must be praying for me.  Thank you.  It is so good to have my husband back home.  Things are getting a little more normal.  Thank You Lord!
