Entry for September 19, 2006

Tuesday Sept 19TH

Dear Friends and Family,

Phil had a quiet day today no appointments or tests!  Tonight he is going to the elder meeting.  It’s good that he is able to attend those now on days like this when he isn’t too tired.  Today after work we went on a nice long walk.  We walked up to the park and then up Tupper road and down Sandy Heights then back down Bluff road.  That is his longest walk yet and he did it without a cane.  That sure beats trying to do that with a walker or a wheelchair.  I am soooo happy that we can go on walks together.

Phil made his appointment today with Dr. Wjohoski the Neurological Eye Dr.  It can’t be until Oct. 13TH we were hoping they could get him earlier but I guess that there are several factors that have to line up when you have that type of an eye exam.  It’s not just one Dr. and one chair.  Other testing people and things have to be available.  I suppose we will find out what it’s all about when he has the appointment.  We haven’t heard about the brain fluid test I hope that no news is good news.  We’ll call tomorrow if they don’t contact us.

I am soooo happy that we are going to be able to get some sod in our front yard.  It is finally the right time of year.  My brother Bill and his buddies are going to put it in for us next Tuesday.  Oh happy day!!!  Probably our neighbors will be singing that song too.  Now if we can just get someone to come give us a bid on that driveway.

Well Laura just got here, Josh came to pick Phil up for the meeting and he left Laura with me. J So we are going to go on a walk that makes 3 walks for me today first on was at 8am with my friend Lisa, then Phil and now Laura.  My feet will be ready for bed tonight!  Really not much news today but we try to keep in contact.

Thank you for praying.

Love Donna
