Entry for July 4, 2006
Hi Friends and Family,
Well, today was a pretty quiet day for Phil he got perkier around 5:00PM. No one let him fall or almost send him on his way to glory today. Hope we got that all straightened out yesterday. Phil pulled some more"unessential" tubes out again today early AM he was done with them (in his mind) so they just changed the location, he is happier with that. He is still not messing with the one in his head thankfully. He is still kind of out of it and says some interesting things. Hope that gets better as the swelling goes down. He is eating good. Still dizzy when he sits up and he says the double vision comes and goes. We are encouraged but it is still very sad.

We were loved to death today by our family and church. There were people swarming all over our house like ants, working on projects that Phil won't be able to get to for a while. It was so encouraging and overwhelming. There was tree trimming, gutter cleaning, painting, deck railing up and repairing, and a new outdoor light put up. Phil put up all new door in our house this year and had some trim work not quite done yet, that got done today, there was shed roof cleaning and topsoil laying and a dog fence was put up, I am sure I forgot something there was so much it was amazing. Thank you all who could help out that way and all the rest of you who are praying he really needs continued prayer. This really hasn't hit home with me yet it probably won't for a while. We just take it one day at a time. One prayer at a time.

Phil did enjoy the company of My sister Linda and her girls today and James and Karen Smith and family that was good for him to see them. He knew who everyone was even the kids.

The nurse said his window was the best one to see fireworks out of so we left the shade open for him. He'll probably be asleep but if he wants to see them they will be there.

Well happy 4Th of July and goodnight.

Love Donna Phil
